A beautiful calming effect this place has had in me ever since I was a child. It’s perfect for a retreat from all the hustle and bustle of my daily life. And an absolute blessing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 by the grace of Rinpoche.

This monastery is a blessing ,if you get a chance just go and visit it.
The monks are extremely nice and very happy to share with you the history of the monastery
You have an amazing view of the Punakha Valley

The place is located at the top from where you can see the sleeping elephant view of Punakha valley. The road is quiet rough so its better to hire Bolero or any other bigger cars from the Khuru town. Orelse you can hike from the Nawakha base. Hiking is better and takes less time. The Shedra also has guest house.

A serene and peaceful monastery. You can go there for any spiritual activity. It gives you inner peace and satisfaction with enjoyable natural surroundings and ambience.
