Awesome place, nice flowers, chill weather, 108 sthoopas as a memorial for breathing the ULFA terrorists.. As per our guide, one can see Himalayas only during Oct, Nov and Dec!

Very beautiful and peaceful place. The view from there is amazing, but the view from Chele La Pass surpasses the view from Dochula Pass. If you are in Thimpu, this isna must a visit, around 35-40 kms from town. This falls under Restricted Areas of Bhutan. You need to take special permit for visiting Restricted Areas, however.the immigration check point officers are very co-operative if in case you don't have the special permit.

Such a beautiful place. You can get the glimpse of himalayas from here. The place is very cold so make sure to carry warm clothes. It can get cloudy over here after 11 am so make sure to visit early in the morning to capture the beauty of snow capped himalayas. This place has a great historic value also. There is a litte cafe and toilet facility available. If you are visiting bhutan then this place should definitely be on your places to visit.

At 3,116 metres (10,223 feet), Dochula Pass, on the road from Thimphu to Punakha is picture perfect in composition and asymmetry. The pass is topped with the 108 whitewashed, red banded Druk Wangyal Khang Zhang Chortens built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother [the king married four sisters in 1979]. Chortens of victory, they commemorate the Bhutanese soldiers killed in the December 2003 war against Assamese guerrillas from India based in Bhutanese territory, and in particular the victory of her husband King Jigme Singye Wangchuck who dislodged the rebels.

Amazing place. True nature of beauty. Fully covered with cloud. If cloud is clear then you can see the himalya mountain range over here. You can enjoy tea in the resturant it is very nice.

What a heavenly setting even though the wether was cloudy the place had much to offer. Very nice walk up to the hermitage caves please be quiet when you go up in groups, there are always some people praying in the cave. Don't disturb them..

Superb views toward Ganga Pumsom and other peaks. Arrived on a day when there was an annual festival celebrating victory during the Assam battle . An appearance by the Queen Mother meant that there was an extra festive mood and large crowds.
