Read a few bad reviews so was skeptical but i shouldnt have been at all! Rooms were clean and tidy, food was good and staff were very helpful! Overall we had a peaceful and nice stay

Hotel has decent rooms however too less staff. Housekeeping and cleanliness is not up to the mark. Most items on the menu were not available. Room was trespassed in our absence hence not secure.

As part of a group of 5 elderly men touring Bhutan in April 2018, I fondly recall my stay at Bhutan Residence, Phuentsholing.
Spacious well appointed rooms, nice dining hall, excellent service and courteous helpful staff.
The most memorable part came after departure. I left behind a wallet containing substantial cash, identify cards and other papers. I thought it was lost outside the hotel. After my return to India I got a phone call informing, the wallet was found in the hotel room with all its contents. The lady in the front desk took all the trouble; sent me the money through bank, and promised to shred and destroy the Id cards.
Now, that was a lot beyond hospitality. Giving all out help to a guest, many days after departure.
I can recommend, with confidence, Bhutan Residence to any and all tourists visiting Phuentsholling. I would love to see the hotel prosper.
The hotel must install an elevator, if only for elderly and physically handicapped persons.

Really poorly managed rooms. Phone in the room wasn't working. Bed spreads were so dirty, when we asked to replace the spreads, we were given te spreads to replace ourselves, what a great hospitality, isn't it?

Though, food lovers should enjoy its cafeteria (and that's why I am adding 2stars for this hotel)

Room spray was with housekeeping and since they weren't there when we arrived, there was nothing they could do- so miserable condition, you see!
Bathroom basin and toilet pots, all broken and somehow managed and fixed.

I would not recommend anyone staying here.

Furniture and things are rather old and needs renovation. The room was smelly and the sheets did not seem to be fresh. I give three stars because of the friendly and helpful staff.

Overall okay.
Entrance looks a bit ugly due to some construction going on. Rooms okay. No lifts. No night room service. Food is good and not costly.

Our Expedia reservation did not work here. Had to repay and Expedia refunded the money. Very helpful people though. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. WiFi available only in that area.
