Minns is the best place to rent a boat to travel around Elizabeth Harbor. And you can also go see the stingrays at chat and chill, as well as many other snorkel areas.
GOOD & BAD!!We reserved a boat 2 weeks before we arrived and they have a deal there that if you rent a boat, you will get 10% off of what you buy at their retail store called The Sandpiper. We spent over $400 American in this store 3 days before we went out in the boat and we even told Diane this, and at this time we didn't about this deal or we would have bought our goods after the rental. We came in 3 days later to get our boat and then she told us we can get 10% off anything in the retail store ONLY AFTER WE HAVE RENTED THE BOAT!!!we don't feel this was very kind, ethical, or fair and we even came back to buy more but Diane wouldn't budge on giving us the 10% deal back because we bought our stuff before we rented our boat, so we left with a bad taste in our mouth for sure! - she could have said something earlier??we own a business too but we're not that stingy!! All business, no heart here!and it's very, very expensive at the Sandpiper! She could have at least said take another shirt worth $50 or something??
The first boat they were going to rent us I noticed the propeller was all broken and twisted and the pre-inspection worker didn't even notice it until I pointed this out to him. Rentals are very expensive but what choice do you have in secluded Exuma? Gas was pretty good, only $15 American for the day. The 15 ft. Boston Whaler was very fast with a 60 horse on it and it performed well. The maps & radio were good for the safety points. We hiked over Stocking Island to Powder Beach & ate lunch at St. Francis Resort, pet the sting-rays on Chat & Chill beach and enjoyed the snorkelling and the sandy islands. Remember - buy after you rent your boat!!!
We rented 3X from them over a two week period. Very friendly and easy to work with. Had no issues with the boats and they allow you a chance to explore some of the great hard to get to beaches. I would recommend.
Great boat rental! We rented an 18 foot Boston Whaler and explored the surrounding cays all day for only 200-250 dollars!
Cut n dry, fast, friendly y very reasonable. Considering the rest of prices in the island, renting a boat was really inexpensive. Beware: boats have no gps, depht finder, nor compass. The do not give you navigational charts either!
We rented a boat from here to enjoy Elizabeth Harbour and snorkeling on the reefs. Highly recommend.
Great people. We rented a center console from them and have no complaints. They also fixed the outboard for our dinghy when it fell off the back into the water. (It actually ran better after that than it did before!).
Essence seulement, pas de diesel. petite boutique cadeau à l'avant
Had a wonderful time renting a 17' Boston whaler. The only suggest I would make is laminate your maps than a normal paper map.
Great place to rent a boat to be explore great exumas (Elizabeth harbor). It's a most to do when you are in great exumas. Boats are easy to ride, no experience required, friendly staff, boats run great. Good value for your money.
Minns Watersports are awesome, very reliable, very good prices and helpful with the routes. I go there yearly and always rent at Minns..
I was there is July. The people here are very friendly and very knowledgeable. We spent an hour or so with them talking about where to go with the boat and the places to see.
Highly recommended.
