Exuma is the kind of place that you go to if you want to experience relaxation in the tropics. Augusta Bay is a very fine place to relax at. The rooms are spacious and each have a covered porch or balcony with a view of the Bay. The restaurant serves great food, and offers a continental breakfast. There may be nicer places to stay on Exuma, but Augusta Bay is definitely a nice and affordable option.

We came here in November and it was fantastic! Unbeatable for the price. Not many places on the island have a pool, this pool was just right!

On site dining was okay, but the best food on the island is a 5 minute walk south. Many excellent open late places to choose from.

The private beach was beautiful! They offered kayaks free to use, and you could call a water taxi to the on-site dock if you choose!

Housekeeping was honest and trustworthy. Included robes were extra comfortable.

I have to say that they call it "luxury accommodations" and that is a bit optimistic. Don't misunderstand me, it is a nice place to stay, but calling it luxury is a bit of a stretch. General maintenance and upkeep of the property is great for the price, but there is always room for improvement.

Overall, great for the price and very conveniently located to many great things! This is an excellent worry free place to stay, and I would highly recommend it!

Great Place. Felt like an episode of Cheers. Everyone was from all over the world and getting along splendidly. Awesome bar on the pier.

High price for middle class service quality.
    Not only this hôtel.
But the whole island is concerned.

Tolles Hotel auf Exuma. Netter Service, sehr hilfsbereit. Viele Deutsche. Traumhafte Lage. Kontinentale Frühstück ist eher bescheiden. Toll: Nutzung der hauseigenen Kanus/Schnorchelausrüstung inklusive. Was kann man von hier aus machen? Kanufahren, Stand up Paddling, Schnorcheln, Wassertaxi nach Stocking Island ( Stocking Island Beach, Starfish Beach, ChatnChilli Touristen Sauf-Bar), Motoroller/Auto/Boot ausleihen. Tour zu den schwimmenden Schweinen (diverse Anbieter). George Town (Schnappsladen und Supermärkte). Achtung: viele Mosquitos ab 17:45 - 18:45 Uhr. Schutz mitnehmen.

A quality place to stay for not a heck of a lot of money. The rooms are very, VERY nice, the view outstanding and the staff very helpful. The lady at the desk took pity on my fiancé 's horrendous bites by those ******* insects and gave her some Benadryl. Compared to the place we spent 3 nights (Exuma Beach Resort), this place was heaven!! Needless to say, I don't have very many nice things to say about EBR. We checked out of there, after day three and was about all we could take of the place. Barely any running water in the sinks, a shower that, at best "leaked" at full pressure, being moved around rooms, being told at 10:25am that the room we "thought" we had booked for another two nights (cus we didn't know any better) was not available and we either had to check out at 11:00am or pay the "special" price. Staff that were so unprofessional that they should NOT work in this industry ever. Absolutely not. We checked out of EBR and checked into Augusta Bay and gave our money to them for the remaining 4 nights.

Augusta Bay is a four (if not five) star hotel. The decor is amazing! The bed is the MOST COMFORTABLE I have ever slept in! Everything is luxurious: the beautiful tiled baths, soft towels and sheets, even the soap and shampoo are awesome! People come from all over for the food, which is not only FRESH, but sumptuous! Innkeeper Ian Wright is such a wonderful, caring, generous man. Shout outs to John and Augusta (the wonder pup)! Can't wait to come back for a relaxing vacation!
