The Stingrays at castaway is a must if you want to get up close. The castaway guide was friendly and professional. The Stingrays themselves are wonderful and for the time you spend with them, everything else seems to vanish. If you love sea life, go for it.

Perhaps the highlight on a cruise of "highlights." Castaway Cay was perfect. The kids and adults LOVED it! It was perfect to have access to food right there by the beach. The amenities on the beach were great.

Fantastic, yes they are in a better area but they seem to do a good job with them and for older people his is awesome. We brought my 70 yr old parents snorkeling for the first time, priceless.

Stingrays are well trained and are fun to feed and swim with. The staff were friendly and didn't rush anything and talked to us about the different stingrays.

A lovely place, very nice beach. Would be nice to have a few more things to do then what is there but over all a fun great place for only using 55 acres of a 1000 acre island

We picked the earliest time and we were only with about 6 other people in about 4 groups. We were in our own group 1 on 1 with the cast member. She was clear and told us how to feed them. Unfortunately there are wild fish that can get in the encounter and want the same food you're holding. They will take it from you. This leaves you at risk of getting bitten by the fish NOT by the stingray. Even though I got bit I still enjoyed myself and had fun snorkeling.

Great way for little kids to interact with stingrays in the shallows with calm waters. Just a great experience.

Beach was nice, snorkeling was good, people were friendly, safety was important to them. Was a great relaxing trip from the Disney cruise ship. We landed a bus that served mainly locals. So, that was tiny bit of an adventure to figure out.

Much better experience on Castaway than if you choose to do an excursion off ship, this is clean, safe, and professional--since they are being paid by Disney directly it is held to a different standard.

I loved the stingray adventure. There is nothing to be worried about the stingrays will not sting you. You get to feed them chum.

Interesting note for animal lovers who are concerned about the stingrays. During our stay, one of the aquatics, Chris, told us they let the rays go from their enclosure during the recent Cat 4 hurricane to swim out to sea. Within days of the storm all 70 or so stingrays had voluntarily returned. They do not remove their barbs, they are simply trimmed for safety. That way if the stingrays escape (and some do but then always return a few days later), they will grow back in the wild. They are well treated, well fed and genuinely taken care of and aren't captive just to be novelties. Well done, Disney!
