    I have booked Mercury hotels for a long time and have find them always good. For the first time, I must say a very dissaponting Mercure hotel. Not only old and wear out, the rooms offered were dirty. Curtains and ceiling were falling, walls dirty and with holes! Cables, hairs and other on the already dirty carpet. After one night, decided to change hotel.

    I always enjoy this hotel and the staff is friendly, helpful and their ability to speak English is great.

    I'd like to rank some opportunities to improve the experience:

    1) AC position blows the air towards the head of the guest wile laid on bed;
    2) Amenities package could include a razor blade, a toothpaste, a toothbrush and a hair comb;
    3) The bathroom needs a renovation. There's mold over the grout on ceramic tiles, and the toilet seat was broken.

    I had a good and fast check in, and it was a good experience for a short stay.
    However, my room had a strong smell (probably some scent used on the environment), that, along with carpet, is very back for an alergic person as I am

    One thing that I did not appreciate was prior to check-in. Two receptionists one handling a customer the other chatting with someone. When this someone asked the receptionist whether she should check me in, she dismissed it by saying not loudly - He can wait - and continued to chat about her new flat and family members. I guess she did not expect me to hear nor that I would have understood what was being said. She was finishing her shift and as it was around 8pm so not really interested in customer service. However, the person who checked me in was efficient and professional.

    A little dated, but for the price can't argue.
