Bien ubicado, buen desayuno, habitación limpia cómoda y moderna. Baño también es limpio y el agua de la ducha es caliente y con buena presión. Volvería definitivamente

Pros: Great location. The rooms were clean, modern, and well appointed. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. A highlight was the pool and view from the roof.
Cons: The gym was really lacking (just a couple treadmills and a bike - there was a single broken weight machine) and the shower only had hot water once, out of four days.response / report this review -

Good things first. Breakfast was great. All employees were very helpful, polite and courteous. Ocean view was pleasant and relaxing. The only issue was the toilet getting clogged. The front desk Change our room.

Right in the middle of the Copacabana stretch. It makes sense to have a room with a view - absolutely lovely view from your hotel room. It has been a lovely stay The sauna/steam room takes awhile to warm up, and the gym is tiny - which isn't a problem because there are lots of nice gyms nearby.

The hotel was decent. Pros: the shower was amazing and the pool area was nice. The window opens, the bed is comfy and the housekeeping was thorough. Cons: I have food allergies and when I asked about ingredients the servers always just said they didnt know. None of the servers in the restaurant/breakfast tried to look into it further or ask the chef. Only the rooftop bartender offered an alternative once to accommodate my allergy. This is really poor service! Two other slight cons were the tv stations were all staticy and fuzzy and the WiFi slowed down considerably with more people logging in during evenings.

I had a room at the Arena Copacabana. I arrived with two friends at around 7 pm and we were due to leave at 2 am for a flight back to the US. It turns out the hotel only allowed two guests to a room and there were three of us. Thus we were forced to purchase an additional room.
But that wasn't the issue. The hotel attendant was rude about the entire interaction, had very poor customer service skills, and was generally a jerk with us. I understand that policy at times ties a hotel's hands, but I would never book this hotel again. No courtesy AT ALL.response / report this review -

Location, room condition, and service are good. Breakfast was great! You can enjoy the night view of copacabana beach on the top. Supermarket is close.

Nice position, very good breakfast, pool on the top of the building, room in front of Copacabana are very nice (a little bit warm if u dont have air condition on). The drinks at the pool ar very good.

Great location but expensive. It is a nice hotel right on Copacabana beach, our room had an amazing view overlooking both the beach and the christ. However there were serious problems with the elevators one of them being rendered inoperable for two days. The room amenities are also lacking for a 4 star hotel: no slippers and robe, no plugs in both sides of the bed and the bathroom is poorly lit and there was a constant sewage smell. The breakfast is varied but the food is bland.

It is a good hotel. Location is great, good service and breakfast. However, the rooftop pool and the area around it are small; the fitness center has only 5 equipaments (3 of which are treadmills); there is no SPA or relaxing area, only a very small sauna; and the room is good but too small and simple for a 5 star hotel at Copacabana beach. Those "problems", nonetheless, will not bother you if you are not looking for luxury. Notwithstanding, for a similar price you can get better options in the same location.
Considering those qualities, it is a very good option if you come to Rio in a business trip.response / report this review -

We enjoyed our stay very much at this hotel but it was not without it's faults. For a newer hotel it seems to be degrading due to the lack of maintenance. Our room (505) was ocean facing with a nice seating area. At first glance seem very clean but later we notice little things like areas that weren't dusted or vacuumed.
The bathroom is in need of an exhaust fan. Not sure if this is not installed normally in South America but the lack of one can be seen with bubbling paint and surface mold forming. The sink also took a long time to drain. Most likely clogged from the multitude of guest frequenting the hotel.
The bedroom had a nice sized tv but the remote did not work as the batteries were dead. Not a big deal as we were not there to watch tv but we did find it humorous when we took the batteries out of the remote and left the both on the nightstand only to have the chambermaid reinstall the same dead batteries back in the remote.
The rooftop pool was a nice escape from the beach but it was almost always crowded and the pool is very small. There is a second level but there was never any seating place up top which would have accommodated more guests.
Breakfast was included and was very good. We always found plenty to eat. If you're looking for greasy bacon and eggs you'll be disappointed. Realize you're in different country and try something new. The fruit is some of the best I've ever had. So fresh and full of flavour.
Our bed was average on comfort level. Typical coil spring that would cause your partner to move when you did.
WiFi is available for free through out the hotel. Its a real nice perk to have when traveling to keep you in touch with loved one at home.
My only real beef with the hotel is our late check out. We requested this at time of booking when we paid for our entire stay 2 months in advance. When I asked about it at checkin I was told I would need to call the day of our check out to confirm. I found this to be really irritating. I would have thought if there was an issue I should have been notified at time of booking or at the very least at check in. Very poor customer service in that regards.
