Pretty nice Hotel. I totally recomend it for stay in Rio in an inexpensive way. Breakfast is very good buffet.
Very nice people, the accommodation is old and a little musty
Central clean and comfortable accommodation
Good location ..near Copacabana and metro stations. Many resturants around. The staff was very ftiendly and polite. Only disadvantage the rooms' decoration..but everything was working fine
Middle standard, conservative, a bit oldish place.
The breakfast is ok. The rooms are simple. The service is fine. Extreemly close to Copacabana. I would not choose this place by myself.
Legal
Has everything what you need.
Air conditioning, a bed, a bathroom, wifi the breakfast is very simply.
Place is safe, the stuff is friendly (also english speaking) and the rooms are clean.
Beach is only two streets away, also the subway.
On the other street side it has a shop with delicious fruit drinks and good food.
Bad customer service, If you are not european/usa they will not show you any respect;awful breakfast - everyday same, no variety of choise; quite expensive if compare to nearby hotels. I stayed there for 6 days, and 5 days in another hotel, which i will not tell the name of.
No security at all, as Rio tends to be quite criminal,
High price for bar drinks
The breakfast is simple. They're fairly straight shooters on the business side - they did charge me twice for water even though they sell it by the pair. The rooms are pretty simple. It is a very short trot to the beach and the area seems pretty safe considering it is Copacabana. I'd bring my business back to Apa. And, if you go check out their Favella Tour. Watch out for the medicine shop catty-corner. They got me for R$ 50, for suntan lotion, and have a reputation of conspicuously leaving somethings without prices.
I've also uploaded videos on Youtube, just search for `APA Hotel`, you should find them.
Also as of 2010, there is a guy up at the front, "David" - he speak perfectly good English.
