This is the local junction. You will not go so far from this station. If you want to go to Khulna, you have to buy ticket from Airport station or others station in Dhaka.

An age old and busy railway station popular among the people of Dhaka-Jaydebpur route. Trains regularly stop by here and takes passenger to different places. It is not so well structured but stays always very crowded. So the station master and the officers have to be busy all the time. The station is wide open which is so risky. It should be guarded as it needs to be.

Tongi Junction. An old traditional railway junction in Bangladesh. Interstate trains here take some time to cross the crossing. If you want to go to Dhaka from here, at 8:00 am, 8:30 am 12:00 to 1:00 pm And get the train at 2:20 pm.

I passed the station frequently by 🚆. Maximum time Intercity 🚆 don't stop here. It is a famous station when world Muslims Ijtema is occured. During Ijtema all train have stoppage here including Intercity 🚆.

Its a big rail station adjacent to Dhaka. Basically it is the entrance of Dhaka from whole country. Trains from any parts of the country needs to pass this junction to enter Dhaka. Some trains stops here for passengers and some just stops for line clearing. Like other stations of Bangladesh it is also very dirty and filthy. But it is very important junction station for Bangladesh Railway.
