I had that question in mind about this station . Such as facilities, customer services and many other things you may count to get a good service. For the first time I visited this station and I was disappointed with the train schedule. The train left after 3 hours from the schedule time. But there's very minimum information you will get about that why it's late. Everyone blames others and no one ready to take responsibility. I had average pleasant journey on the train after it Departed from Dhaka to Rangpur. AC berth is quiet good and comfortable. The reached destination stations pretty much on time except departures late from the main station.

Kamalapur Railway Station is the main and central railway station in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The station is the largest in the country and the most important terminal for transportation between Dhaka and the rest of Bangladesh. This beautiful station is designed by American architect Robert Boughey. There are 47 local trains, 40 mail/ express trains and 30 inter-city trains going through the station.

All the rail transported containers are carried here in a huge container yard. And after the paper processing they are dispatched to their destination. Largest and central railway station of Bangladesh. It is beautifully designed and established before the birth of Bangladesh. Train available to all major cities of Bangladesh from here. Recent renovation works make this railway station and overall rail service more comfortable and productive. Now new modern trains are included to service with modest maintaining schedule. Smart service like online ticket purchasing is now available.

But due to our social culture railway is not getting 5 star! We have to improve much more! 👍

The new waiting place beside the platforms is nice. You can wait there without worrying about thieves or hijackers. And the environment including trees are soothing. The lamps will help you read if you want to. And then there is a pure drinking water source nearby. But the problem with the mosquitoes seemed to be a pathetic one to me.

This is the largest railway station in Bangladesh. It has all type of facility for rail passenger.
But management should be more concerned to solve problem.
We the people like to journey through the train but due to lack of facility and not enough railway station in all over the country
Now government trying to develop this section very quickly but but due to lack of management it delayed
What ever still we love journey by train
And also hope this sector will be best way to drive in our country
We also be helpful to our government that government policy making easy

This is Bangladesh National Station of Railway. The most usage and reliable Platform to go outside from the Capital and come back to the Capital. Its also used from the British period till now to safely make commute.At present it is also a affordable communication system for all.
Its a biggest rail platform and station of Bangladesh.
Millions of people daily used it. For this government already launched some new rail engine and Body to increase their service and commitment.

It is not only the largest, busiest and the central Railway of Dhaka city but also of the whole country. It was established in Pakistan era and since then has a very nice architectural view with many domes above. There are four separate platforms with foot-over bridges. Each platform again has two lanes.
All the trains of the country start or finish their journey here, except few local or commuter trains. You can purchase tickets in advance from the southern bay counters or buy tickets instant from the northern counters.
There is coffee and tea shops but the standard is not up to the mark. The waiting room is hard to find out and not spacious enough for the passenger load.
Black ticket vendors roam around, although now a days in lesser extent. There are lot of scope for improvement including the security and the surroundings. Transportation to and from the Station is a big problem specially for those not having private vehicles.

Dhaka Railway Station familiar as Kamlapur Railway Station. This is the central and largest railway station of Bangladesh. There have enough modern facilities for passenger. Have train information display, waiting room, restaurant, e-ticketing system, ATM Booth, Mobile customer care, Mosque etc. Beautiful architecture and historical value of this place is not little also.

Central railway station of the country. It is also the largest railway station of Bangladesh having a wonderful architectural view. Most of the intercity express are departure from this station.

The station is beautifully decorated with projectors, LED Tv, lighting. There is a rest room for the passengers.It has also a nicely decorated open space seating arrangements.

Interesting thing is that Bangladesh railway is almost digital now. One can buy a ticket through SMS or using website. Recently the train schedule has been significantly developed. A fleet of modern coaches has been added to the Bangladesh railway. Railway journey is more safe, relaxing and affordable. We should keep our railway stations neat & clean.

Kamalapur Railway Station is the central railway station in Dhaka,Bangladesh. It is the largest and most important terminal for transportation between Dhaka and rest of the country.

The station is an architectural marvel, with a lotus-shaped shell structure coverage functional buildings like an umbrella.

The station has 21 ticket counters,local tickets can be bought from 20 counters.The station has 8 platforms.It has many security guards,station masters and one station manager.

The night view of the station is mind blowing for it's different colors of lighting.

The largest and the busiest railway station in the country. This is also the central station. The structural design and the facilities were really nice. But the authority has failed to maintain the standard and hence it has become a really filthy and dirty station now. A lot of people commute daily from this station to different part of the country. The authority should take that into consideration as well for developing the services.
