Food quality is not worth its price. If anyone want to waste money they can be here. I can't believe worker are getting pay per day $70-100 Barbados dollars. But little food cost $60. It's not even enough for the people. It's funny that people still go this kind of restaurant for waste their money. I took two guest there and they couldn't make eat that food.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover" - indeed! What looks like a simple joint on the beach turns out to be a remarkable restaurant with live Jazz and fantastic sea food not to mention Best I ever had lobster (langouste). Lobster bisque and conch bisque must try. Jazz - is 18 karat! Too bad I can't post a video. This guys are jamming! RECOMMEND 100%
First thing i did when i arrived the hotel in Barbados was to look for a decent restaurant i could have lunch. Some local folks suggested other restaurants, but the reviews convinced me to come here, and i can say I made the correct call.
Lobster Alive is pricey, expect to spend above US$70 per person. But is well worth it, the lobster is fresh, staff is great and they have live jazz music. You pair all that with a beer or a glass of wine, and you are set.
I ordered Lobster termidor and it was delicious!!
Lucky to have enjoyed the Sunday lunch Jazz on many occasions. It's quite simply a must do if your visiting Barbados. The Lobster is the best there is with excellent service. Since its beginnings it has grown noticeably but it's never lost touch of its roots, it's all about the delicious lobster, fresh from the tank, eaten with the sand between your toes on the beach (or inside if you prefer). The jazz is cool and relaxed creating a great foot tapping atmosphere. Booking in advance essential!
We usually just rent chairs and umbrellas but it's a lovely spot and Terry takes great care of us.
Lobster Alive is a fantastic beach restaurant with one amazing special Lobster. And they do it very well.
We have passed it many times over the years but never tried it out. When we did, we did not regret it.
The service was terrific, the staff were very friendly and had a good sense of humor. The place itself is simple and welcoming. But if you want to sit closest to the beach, make a reservation.
All in all we had an amazing meal and a very nice night out here. Would certainly go again next time we're there.
Great place with a shack vibe, by the beach and with jazz music. We ate crab cakes that were amazing and the lobster was flaky and fresh. It is not enough food if you are hungry though, so you should ask for sides. But food was tasting so delicious, and I'm still impressed by the flavor of the lobster!
Very busy when the cruise ships are in and the staff still remain friendly. Enjoyed our cocktails not too expensive. You can choose your own lobster from a tank situated at the back of the restaurant (hence the name). They have live music on most days it seems, especially when the cruise ships are in. An enjoyable experience.
Perfect Bridgetown spot overlooking the beach with amazing food and friendly staff
Great staff, a gorgeous view and delicious food!!
👌great service! Live jazz at night and steel bands during the day❤
Great lobster greatt beach, but very pricey
Casual beach bar directly on the powder white sands of Carlisle Bay. Their specialty is Caribbean lobster picked fresh from the tank - choose your size. We were there for lunch, our server Sonja was fantastic and took good care of us. We also enjoyed the soft sounds of the steel pan music.
They seated us even though we didn't have a reservation. We sat right on the sand wh views to the beach. The service was great and the food was amazing. A bit pricier than we were expecting but totally worth it. This is a trendy place and gets crowded fast. About a 2 mile walk from the cruise ships. We loved it!
What an amazing place.
Food Perfect, Service Perfect & Location easy to find.
Can even get your own picture with a Lobster.
And the live Jazz band was the cherry on the cake.
Will definitely be going back on our next visit to Barbados.
The lobster pasta was excellent. Some of the seats were in the sand so dress appropriately
