Nice place. Bed was 2 double mattresses pushed together. Pretty hard mattress. The cover was 2 flat sheets. Nightly entertainment is pretty good. My only complaint is that it normally runs until 11:00 and you can hear it from your room. So if your looking to relax in your room or call it an early night, forget about it. Food was decent and there was a huge selection. Other reviews mentioned the number of kids. The taxi driver confirmed it in the ride in but there really weren’t that many kids during our stay. One of the staff members we spoke to said sometime there are a lot of kids on property. Everyone was very helpful and we would come again.

I had really high expectations for Riu Aruba, based on reviews and hearsay. However, I was REALLY disappointed. There was really only one positive - the food. It was plentiful and the buffet was excellent. However, that is where the positives end. The restaurants were nice as well, but Krystal seems to require long pants - it must be the only restaurant in Aruba that does.

The room - was awful. It smelled bad (really hits you right when you walk in), was dirty with stains on the linens, tiny flat pillows and slippery floors. The design is ugly and the black/white theme is just creepy. The AC was so loud, it sounded as if you are taking off in a helicopter. The shower was OK, but one of the lights in the bathrooms make about as much noise as a cement truck. I have been to all inclusive resorts in PR, DR, Mexico, and a few others, and this was by far the worst room we ever had.

The resort - dirty, always looking as if it was after a huge drunk party. No one seems to clean this place, ever. I mean hot dogs in the elevators kind of dirty. Everywhere. In the main building with 10+ huge floors, there are two tiny elevators, so going up or down takes 10 min to get into an elevator. Everything sort of looks nice, but is really bad when you look closer. For example, the pool looks nice from a distance, but when you look closer, you see the many missing tiles, broken pieces, etc.

The worst of it all was that they had a "show" every night that started at 8 or 9 and until 11. The show sounded like a night club and was so loud, we could not put our kids to sleep every night.

There were many other issues at the resort - really too many to list them all. Service was also terrible, pretty much everywhere at the resort (not friendly at all) and almost none of their staff speak English.

This place is for 18-21 year olds on spring break, who want to drink non-stop and party all day and night and who are too drunk to realize how dirty and smelly the resort and rooms are. However, if you are older than 30 and have a few kids, this place is not for you (unless you want to try to put kids to sleep accompanied by super loud night club music until 11 and midnight). I really hated our time at Riu Aruba - it was one of the worst resort experiences we have ever had. We will certainly never return.

One of the most amazing vacations I've ever had. This is truly a very beautiful place to stay. Amazing service and a wonderful staff, awesome room with an amazing view. We left the sliding door open all night and could hear the ocean waves... So relaxing!

Went here for my 30th birthday trip. It was all going really well, beach is beautiful. Pool was decent. All inclusive was great for drink purposes, food was just okay. After coming back to our room from an excursion, I noticed that my purse had been stolen. Unfortunately, the safe that’s in the room was unable to fit it. I had put my wallet in the safe.. thank goodness but my purse and what was in it was stolen by one of the cleaning crews. Confronted the front desk... had to wait on the assistant manager for 20 minutes. He didn’t acknowledge me until the police came for me to file a report. He did nothing about my purse being stolen. Only one cleaning lady had entered our room from the time we were gone to the time we arrived. (We had them pull the key card history) yet, he still did nothing. I said if you just have her bring my purse back I will not file anything. I just want my purse. He went on to say she has been here for 10 years and never stolen anything. Must be in my head that my purse just went missing in the 3-4 hours of being gone. The officers we dealt with were amazing. So that was nice.. after signing and filing the report they told us to have a good last day and next time to stay at the Marriott. (The officers said that) so please take my advice and theirs and do not stay here unless you want items to go missing. I would give a 0 Star for this place, but unfortunately it does not allow you to do that.

Stay in so many all exclusive resorts, this one it’s the worst one , price very high service really low, bad quality ... cleaning 3 Star , missing towels , dirty mirrors, one evening our TV stared smoke , they changed it for very small one , receptionist, manager do not really care... steak house very low quality of meat .... ((not comparing with paradise all exclusive resort at Dominican Republic, twice cheaper)
Restaurant limit by people , buffet limited by time ....

Service and Staff were amazing! The food, the beach, the rooms, the entertainment, everything was simply amazing! Worth every penny! The experience was unlike any other. It's also the safest place I've visited. We were able to hail out a cab from the streets in the town area (where tourists do shopping) with no problem or issues. One thing we learned was that Aruba has the lowest crime rate in the entire world! Everyone is so kind in Aruba. We'll definitely be booking again!

This Place is absolutely beautiful. The beach is amazing and food is outstanding. Came here with my sisters family and we had a blast. So much to do and such little time, I would have stayed here for another week. Hands down one of the best vacations I've had. Wanted to come here for 2018 but they are booked!! Will be coming back 100%

I loved this place very clean. The food was awesome 4 different restaurants included with the all inclusive. The entertainment could be a little better. My honeymoon/Birthday was everything I wanted it to be. I highly recommend this place the pool area is huge. It sits right on the beach no one begging or trying to sell you anything. I was never bothered about buying time share. I can't wait to go back. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

This hotel was everything I expected and read about.... I think a lot of the bad reviews are people wanting to hear themselves complain.. Our room was large and had The full ocean view.. House keeping did a very good job everyday. The hotel was very clean and maintained well... Staff was helpful and attentive.. Beach was beautiful and sand was soft white and racked at night by the staff... Pool was also very clean, plenty of chairs. I do recommend getting down at least by 10 to plot your towels down and earlier for beach seating under a hut. Drinks are not very strong and had to ask for double pours. Only issue was the plumbing . Our toilet in the room had an problem flushing.. The flow was not strong enough and was offered to switch rooms.. The front desk supervisor gave me two $25 coupons to be obtained at the spa.. Other than that was very happy with my trip. Second time to Aruba and first time at the Riu... De palms was the shuttle company we used to and from the airport.. no issues with that either

Excellent stay. Food was totally delicious, big variety. I will recommend it and will return back again. The only thing the staff was less hospitable. The steakhouse was a success.

Went two years ago and I am returning this year. Had an awesome time. Rooms r clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food very good. So many things to choose from the buffet. Loved all the deserts and fresh fruit. My daughter has food allergies and the dining room manager took care of her every day. He was absolutely the best. Told us what she can and cannot eat and made Special stuff that wouldn't have any cross contamination, especially at the salad station and being allergic to shellfish. Night life could b better and more activities during the day, but overall had a great time.

We had a ocean view room, which was great early mornings and specially evenings when the sun was setting. The room wasn't anything special, just your everyday hotel room. The maid service was good, she did a good job cleaning our room.

There is only one restuarant to eat in for breakfast, and it's a buffet style service. In the afternoon there are two restaurants to pick from, and again they're buffet style service. The food is good but nothing spectacular. The evening restaurants, there are 2. You must reserve your table and time, do that early in the day. Both restaurants' menus are limited in choice.

The poolside lounge chairs go quickly, so get up very early in the morning to grab as many lounge chairs by the poolside. Everyone seems to claim their chairs early then they return back to their rooms. So, get your poolside lounge chair EARLY. The same goes for the beach chairs. Both the poolside and beach areas are always clean.

Overall, we had no complains about staying in the Riu Palace hotel in Aruba.

Nice and convenient location. Close to Oranjestad, shopping malls, and restaurants. Staff very attentive, good is good and plenty to choose from. You could also visit the Toy Antillas for free good is awesome there. Shows are nice but finish early st night. Sunsets are amazing. It's always sunny in Aruba but keep in mind it's a windy island so don't bother getting your hair done:).

My company brought a large group as part of our fitness vacation. The staff was nice and professional. If anyone had an issue it was resolved quickly. The view from every room was beautiful. Rooms were nice and food was very good quality. I anticipate bringing our group back again.

just came back from Aruba yesterday, I stayed at the Aruba section and I could have sworn I asked for the adult only section? Anyway I thought the place was dated but okay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, if you couldn't find something you liked you cannot be pleased, the bed pillows were terrible and the beds are like rocks, but whatever. The lock on the patio door was broken and the ceiling fan didn't work, I asked these items be fixed but they never were. The pool was perfect. Only issue is they ask that you do save chairs but everyone does it anyway, the last day I did too, I hate breaking rules but I wanted a chair. I doubt I would stay here again only because it isn't close to any shops, you have to walk to them and with the heat in Aruba that is not good. I kinda felt trapped at the resort. I did finally venture out and took a tour of the Island. I also cannot see me going back to Aruba, it is a desert Island and I like tropical Islands....

Nice hotel for all the family. Located in Palm Beach. It had one nice snorkeling spot very close. Visit the watersports and ask for Robertico or Leo they will tell you where to go. Bring some bread along and a waterproof camara if you have one. This is am all inclusive hotel. Some rooms are not so good the guests say. Food is very nice.
If you are 18 you can use the facilities next door as well. In the Riu Palace Antillas.
    Has a gym and jacuzzi.
I you are not a hotel Guest and wish to enjoy the all-inclusive style you can always purchase a day pass.

I stayed here for my honeymoon back in late May-early June 2016. The resort is great featuring nice a la carte restaurants and a buffet. The rooms themselves are comfortable with flat screen tv, large bed and a mini-bar that is re-stocked.

Aruba is a beautiful place so one would be spending the majority of their time (hopefully) outside of the resort but as a place to wind down and relax after a long day outside walking along the beach and around town, the resort is perfect. I would definitely recommend Riu Palace Aruba; thank you for a great experience and I hope to come back some time soon!

We just returned and I was so nervous because of all the bad reviews! We had an AMAZING time at the Riu Palace Aruba! It has the most magnificent pool, the largest beach area on the strip out of all the high rise hotels. The staff spoke minimal English but smiled and were very friendly despite the language barrier. The room was always cleaned beyond my expectations! We had an end unit suite and it was magnificent! A stunning view, large balcony with a royal island vibe. I truly cannot understand how people have such negative things to say about this property! The food was good, I had some great things and I had some not so great things. There are plenty of options for everyone. I especially loved the juice and smoothie bar at breakfast and the beautiful array of fruit! The bed pillows were teeny, tiny so we asked the maid service to bring us a few more. They didn't so when we were in the front area we asked the front desk and they were put in our room that night. Problem solved. No big deal, I'd rather find a solution than complain and become aggravated, but that's just me. Unbelievably beautiful place and island! If you are lucky enough to go to the Riu Palace, enjoy, have a drink and take a swim for me!

I wish I could give zero stars. Awful experience!!!! The most unwelcoming and rudest staff EVER! I discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. Aruba is an amazing island and there are so many hotel options. Anything else would be better than Riu Palace. There was a horrific mildew/mold/urine smell in the hallways that triggered my gag reflex. One night after dinner, I went into the men's restroom on the lower level and there was vomit all over the walls, the floors, etc.)! The stores close way too early and the place looks deserted after 9pm. Aruba is known for its fantastic food/restaurants so staying at an all inclusive resort in Aruba is a complete and utter waste. Don't ever stay here! It is as filthy and disgusting as its staff.

This hotel was AMAZING! The staff were so pleasant and professional. We had the time of our lives! The shows were exciting! They had enough spaces throughout the hotel for air conditioning breaks and meals. At the end of the trip, we felt we were leaving family behind (that's how special the staff makes you feel! They really interact with you! Just enough space around the hotel to have privacy with your one and only!!!!
