This was one of the worst hotel stays for me. Customer service was horrible it was a hassle to even get towels in the room and the front desk was no help. Even though the hotel is under construction it was still clean and well kept just hope they had better customer service

Helped us out in a pinch. Great service at front desk. During peak Carnaval season, we were forced to disembark a cruise ship in Aruba due an injury. The ship's port agent tried hard to find a place to stay near the hospital for us who were uninjured. The Mill gave us lodging at a competitive rate and found room when we needed to extend the stay two times. Yes, they are renovating and there is some issues with some areas, but everything worked, the breakfast was good, and the front desk service worked with us to keep us from going crazy during a difficult time.

It's no five star resort. But, if you're like me and only use the room to sleep in it's perfect. Save your money for other island activities. The Mills had great staff! The rooms show a little wear and tear but are clean. And there was a Jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room. I watched the AFC championship game while kicking back some Balashi beers from the tub. It's a short walk to the beach, casinos, and shops in Oranejstad. I'd go back for sure.

Our time share fee has increased by 50%!
It is January 21, 2018. Both pools are finished and lovely except for the addition of the proposed shade providing units surrounding the main pool area ("Construction materials are delayed.") There are only three patio umbrellas in the entire pool area that are leaving guests at the mercy of the blazing sun! Eight more umbrellas would be most welcomed at this point as a temporary measure. Handrails at the first steps into the pool and a handrail to enter the jacuzzi would provide safety.
The small jacuzzi has yet to be connected to the heat unit located outside the pool filter building. The electrical conduit is on the building's wall and the control unit's wires are dangling from the heater unit. Making that final connection has yet to happen. C'mon folks. It is called a "hot tub" for a reason. Please hook it up! Still waiting for that Marriott experience we have been reading about. Current management does not care about it's guests and either The Marriott does not know what is happening or they too do not care! Remains to be seen.response / report this review -

Loved The Mill I stayed here the first time I came to Aruba 12 years ago and loved it. I now have 2 weeks at the Divi Phoenix and we were looking for a place to stay another night last Saturday 1-13-18 and we went to The Mill. They have made a lot of nice changes and we had a great night. Thank you Donna Glynn and Mary Evans.

Pool area was under construction during our visit, but looks like it will be nice once complete. Bar tenders were very engaging and entertaining. Had live music during our visit. While not on the beach, it is a quick walk or free cart ride away to private beach front. Nicely located near to many attractions, bus, and beach.

The mill is not chill
Uncommunicated noisy construction work, disco next to resort and loud live music, not a very relaxing place. Old rooms are really old, the new ones are ok.
Employees are very friendly, but the service is still bad. Beach is nice but dont order lunch from the mill on the beach unless you are willing to wait 1.5 h.response / report this review -

Resort under construction swimming pool, mini market and apartments in renovation. I have been in many places throughout the Caribbean but this resort is by far under par. Staff is very friendly despite.

The Mill had beautiful rooms. However, our shower was missing a door so water splashed out onto the floors. And the TV would only turn on sporadically. The hotel advertised 2 large free form pools. However, upon arrival, both pools were under construction and non existent. The one pool left was small and directly next to the construction so all day you heard jack hammering and concrete being thrown around. And of course our room was next to all the noise. It defeated the purpose of a relaxing vacation and I have half a mind to ask for some of my money back as it didn't have half of what was advertised and was nothing but noise from sunrise to sunset. I will not be staying there again and do not recommend it.

Its an ok place, I truly belive you get what you paid for, they have nice updated rooms but of course we did not get that, we pay about $600 for 5 nights which is perfect a block away from the beach. Our room was ok, everything worked fine although very old, everything tv, control, furniture, etc. Our room was always clean but the cleaners were very careless keeping the room door opened while cleaning, due to it at night time we had to face so many mosquitoes it was unbearable and when we valled reception they basically said they cant do nothing. So we had to buy stuff to kill them every damn night it was very inconvenient and frustrating knowing they can not help you and you are there as a guest who cant do much NOTHING IS CLOSE TO HOTELS ONLY EXPENSIVE STORES INCLUDING THE HOTEL STORES. If you rent a car you are gooooodddd, go and drive around as a resident NOT BY THE TURIST AREA NEXT TO THE BEACHES and you will find decent stores to do grocery shopping otjerwise they will rip u off. By the way in this hotel if you loose a towell they charge you $30 per towell. Do not loose them!!!

The service was great. The food was always tasty for all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their meals were also reasonably priced. A quiet resort not far from the larger ones bustling with a lot of people. More suitable for people who want to be close to the excitement but can remove yourself from the noise when ready. There is an iguana sanctuary onsite next to the pool area. They lay basking in the sun around the pool.

OTHER PEOPLE'S HAIR WILL BE ON YOUR ROOM'S FLOOR.
The maids mop the entire room without rinsing the mop off, and I'm pretty sure they don't change the water until they've done an entire hallway, both sides, maybe not even then. It's horrendous and sticky; the sidewalk outside is cleaner than my room's floor.
SLOW WIFI. It took about ten minutes on their wifi to upload these 4 pictures millenials and netflix lovers beware.
When they do clean, they don't wipe anything down. Not the table, not the counters, not sure what they're getting paid for. The provided kitchenette has tolerable equipment but NO DISH RAG OR DISH SOAP. You must buy dish soap for $3 USD and a sponge for $2 at their minimarket. The maids will not do your dishes. The elements on the stove also take about 20-30 minutes just to get hot so maybe you won't even get the chance to make dirty dishes
There's also not much in the way of hot water. If you shower, you do it with only the hot water on, at full blast, and it's warm.
When I checked in the front desk staff was RUDE and did not even give us key cards. I had to remind her as she was trying to walk away that I needed a way to get into my room Seriously?
I'm from Canada and the crappy 2-star motels that you rent when you have no other options up there have cleaner rooms with nicer staff, and if they've got a kitchen they GIVE YOU DISH SOAP FREE OF CHARGE.
Aruba is a gorgeous island, don't stay here and let these people ruin your wonderful vacation.

They have nice rooms. They also have not so nice rooms. The variation in room type is astounding. If the small rooms (with closet size bathroom) at least had a decent shower head that didn't wet the entire bathroom floor, perhaps I'd be less annoyed. The upside though I stayed here twice rebooked and got another room that was really nice. All of the rooms face the inner pool like a circle and the overall atmosphere is lovely. Close to everything if you do not have a car you can walk 5 minutes or so to food and shopping. If you want to stay here get a good room.

Well-situated low-rise resort at the south end of the Palm Beach high-rise resort area. Just north of the famous Butterfly Farm (which is walkable). Across the street from Palm Beach - you can walk to the beach in 3 minutes, or take a complementary shuttle between 9 and 5:30 daily.
The Mill is great if you want up-to-date reasonably priced lodging with a lower-key environment. The central pool area is great for sunning or swimming, and very near the main bar, restaurant, and front desk. You won't be fighting for pool space, which is great.
I only rate this property 4 stars instead of 5 because there are obviously MUCH more expensive properties that have a few more amenities and luxuries but for our tastes (and budget), this is perfect and has everything we need.response / report this review -

Friendly staff. Concierge is of great help always. The bar is great and the restaurant has delicious food. Clean service could improve. Awesome room with neat bathroom
