Woke up with small bites all over me and my friend - bugs all through the bed. Was disappointed. Other than that, bed was comfy.
Small room was perfect for me and my son to sleep in before our early flight the next day. BUT..what blew me away was that I had left my watch there an expensive gift from my children for my birthday it was found and returned via post..thank you soooooooooo much to the staff for getting it back to me. Definitely recommend!!!!!
Great location, close to the airport. Good room for the price but more power points, closer to the bed would have been good.
I have read through some of the reviews for this motel and honestly what do you expect. I have paid a very reasonable price for a very clean and well presented room. It has tea and coffee facilities as well as a fridge. Towels and toiletries. Yes it is small but its not meant for ballroom dancing!
It's time people started complimenting instead of whinging all the time. The staff went out of their way to help me and I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Well done to all at the IBIS! Thank you for your help and consideration.
I stayed for a night as I needed to catch an early flight. My friend had booked and paid for the night a few days earlier. When I checked in, I was asked to produce my credit card. I initially thought that this was usual. With two heavy luggage, I was told my room would in the highest floor and I had to use the stairs. The room was tiny and the bathroom much more tiny. No wifi was available at all. When I was in my room, I checked a document handed to me at the reception. It was a receipt. The receptionist had further charged my credit card for the full amount that my friend had paid. When I back downstairs to check with him, he muttered some unintelligible words and then reversed the charge. Fortunately, I checked in around 9.00 pm and was able to get to the counter before the receptionist leave as the counter is closed from 10.00 pm. Talk about honesty????
Check in was a breeze. The lass swapped rooms for us as we had 3 bags & there is no lift. Bed was comfortable. Room was basic but clean. Only stayed 4.5hrs due to late flight arrival.
Great motel to stay in before or coming home from a flight, particularly for a single traveller on a budget. Was quiet, secure, clean, comfortable bed and you could walk easily to catch your flight if you wanted. Good value for money.
Room was what you would expect from a budget hotel, pretty basic. Bed was comfy enough, appliances looked relatively, heater/air con was a nice treat. Everything was clean and tidy. Location is great if you are flying into Melbourne for a 1 or 2 night stay and dont plan on being in the hotel very often, there are limited things to do in the area. Breakfast is made easier by McDonalds (2 minute walk) probably a better option then the $9 continental breakfast. All in all, good place stay for a night, service is good, checking in and out is easy, before and after business hours
Each day you get 1 hr of free WiFi. Staff were helpful and friendly. 10 minute walk from the airport.
Comfy bed, however, small shower with below-average water pressure. Short stroll from Melbourne airport.
Tiny but spotless rooms in this low cost hotel. It's fine to walk from the airport (you turn left and follow the signs) but if you wander and get lost, there is a freeway to cross. So don't do that. The evening sun shone in really strongly, but the blind was an effective blackout. We had to leave the air conditioning on, just to stop the room getting stuffy. McDonald's and the petrol station (with convenience store) are right nearby. There is tea and coffee. Breakfast is $9 extra, and there are vending machines for snacks. Our room had a fridge, and there is a communal one too.
Budget says it all. Small room with limited facilities. Good if you are in transit but that's it.
