A great venue with really great vibes and fantastic architecture. Very flexible in terms of how it is configured. There are however a lot of stairs to go down to get there.
I have seen everything there from music, to theatre, readings and more.
There is a back entrance as street level that could be used to enter if you require an accessible entrance for wheelchairs, it is an extra effort tho.

I photographed the wedding of Saranda and Brendan at Fortyfive Downstairs, including the beautiful warehouse at the bottom of the building.

An unconventional place to have a wedding it was a beautiful, intimate, unique little spot, and a pleasure to be involved with!

Cheers to 45 and staff for making it a brilliant time for these two.

One of Melbourne's leading independent artist venues that presents both theatre and art. The 200 seat theatre venue is accessible via stairs that descends 2 levels. Shows change every few weeks do check the website for what is playing. Always interesting and highly recommend.

What a space! As far as theatre goes, you don't get more intimidate than this. Spent 7 hours experiencing the splendour that is Angels in America here today: best play I've ever been to, and all credit to the venue!

Amazing space for a wedding or function. We hosted our wedding here and loved the venue- the majority of our guests were from interstate/ overseas and they were all blown away.
The events team were helpful throughout the entire planning process and incredibly hands on, on the day of the event. Andy is a wizz with the lighting! Highly recommend this venue!

My cousin had her wedding here and it was absolutely brilliant. Staff were great, the space was beautiful and they put on a great post wedding party downstairs.

Came here for a wedding on the weekend and it was absolutely spectacular. The ceremony took place in the gallery and reception took place downstairs. The events company did a superb job executing the bride and grooms design ideas and the staff were all really nice and attentive. The food was also delicious and espresso martinis were incredible.
