Nice place! The sea food in the marinara was perfect! The view was lovely from the outside deck and the service was fantastic, very friendly! I will make an effort to go again

Have been eating here for a few years and have honestly never had a bad meal. The owners are lovely people. Sunday lunch is my favourite time to visit.

The 1 star are for the food. The food is outstanding except for their entree of bread, which came half burnt!
If you go, try the calamaris!
Now lets talk about the service: to pay $35 per dishes I expect minimum service, which includes NOT to have to order at the bar! So, we had to do over there. You pay ridiculous amount of money for absolutely no service: you will have to carry your own bottle of wine and glasses to your table and the only service you'll have is to reveive the food, which comes quickly.
Now to talk about the "why I gave only 1 star" is entirely related to the photo you can find attached to my review.
I am a woman with long blonde hair and at the last bite of my food I found this black really short hair in my food! So DISGUSTING!!!! *especially for that price!!!
I mentioned it to the waitress who had blue glitters eye shadows (if that can help you recognise her) and she just replied that it was unlikely that it was from one of their kitchen staff since they are wearing nets around their beards. I asked her to talk to her manager or chef just so that they would at leats know about it. I had no feedback about it. I am absolutely repulsed at their restaurant. Can I just say: the hair was 100% not from me!! DISGUSTING!!!!
Would I go there again: HELL NO!!!
Was the food good: yes except for them burning the garlic bread.
I worked in hospitality for the past 10 years training employees for smart/casual and fine dining and I consider Zebra's service as a joke.
When I asked very nicely the girl at the bar if it was common for them to take the orders at the bar and not at the table, she got offended and asked her manager in front of us to deal with us.
Also, one of the member of our group has been so sick since we came back from the restaurant and he had the chiken with prawn. Perhaps a little food poisoning to finish the night?!
Very very disappointed! Would have never expected that after we spend over $300 there. NEVER AGAIN!response / report this review -

Friendly service, generous portions of some classic pub favourites and a decent view. Went on a week night so it was very quiet.

Probably the best in Ocean Grove. Great meals and great service. Not sure what the other review was on about but have always found the owner and staff very friendly. Have taken friends and family their often and taking friends there tonite
