Been local residents for 22 years and regular customers for most of that time. We decided to come in tonight after a little time away and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. For such a great location and good customer service the food was a massive let down. Floury chips, oily fish and bland flavourless sauces. You need to lift your game Kirks. We won’t be back anytime soon. Also, try changing the oil in your fryers every now and then - old rancid and burnt flavour through everything.

Very nice staff, we had the gnochis and a roast lamb, the gnochis were the best ones I've ever had, the lamb wasn't too bad just a little dry, lamb is always tricky anyways. Waiters were extremely friendly, only minus is the fact that you need to go to the counter to order your food. Besides that no complaints at all.

Went out for dinner tonight with the family, three parmas came out but we were still waiting for a risotto and a pizza, a few minutes went past and they still hadn’t come out but when they came out the staff were very apologetic about the mishap of two of our meals being late. Our table didn’t mind that two meals were late as we all understand this happens on the odd occasion but there costumer service went above and beyond! Food was amazing like always! Definitely one of my favourite places to go out for dinner!

On a sunny day this is a really nice place to sit outside have a drink and watch the bay go by (twice we have seen dolphins as we sat outside). The bar and kitchen staff were really friendly.
We have only eaten once and that was a share platter. I must say it was very well done. Well presented and tasty. A perfect amount to slowly pick through with a drink or two.response / report this review -

It seems that a lot of restaurants are freaking out about serving Gluten Free meals. They are not providing the menu choices that they used to. My chicken was dry however the service staff were very helpful and provided a variety of G F sauces to help offset this.

I could not be more disappointed with the pork belly I ordered. I have only ever had this crispy skinned and this was slow braised which was not mentioned on the menu. As you could imagine chewing on soft fat was an extremely unpleasant experience. If the skin is not seared or crispy then this meal should not be offered on the menu full stop. The mash potato was bland dry and clumpy. All in all an extremely disappointing meal.
On a positive note we were offered a free dessert to compensate.
With the price and standard of the meals I won't be returning.response / report this review -

Service: We were meet by a friendly staff member. Order at the counter - not the bar.
Food: I had the Calamari. Very nice. My partner had the Wild Mushroom pizza. I was so glad I didn't order that when it came to the table :)response / report this review -

Great for pub meals and some nice beers on tap. Definitely make reservations though if you want go during the popular times for lunch. To top it all off, they have tables with a wonderful view of the bay, and an outdoor section thats well shaded and great to enjoy a cold beer on those hot days.
