We used West Coast Pet Care to board our 2 cats when we went away for 2 weeks in October. Neither of them had ever stayed at an animal boarding place before and one of our cats in particular isn't good with strangers so we were a bit apprehensive at first, but it ended up being the best decision we could have made. The staff were so amazing and I'm pretty sure our cats came back in better condition than when we left them. They have great play areas and even "cuddle time" which both cats ended up loving. I highly recommend West Coast to anyone considering boarding their animals, especially if they haven't done it before, and will definitely use them again :)

Great boarding kennel, plus excellent service and training for our dog.

The cost is premium but the service wasn't. When I picked my dog up, I had to make a vet appointment the same day. He had been injured but no one had noticed. When I queried this, I was told he only had an issue with his eyes while he was ther (which I also wasn't notified of!) To make up for my boy being distressed/in pain (and the big vet bill) I was offered a complimentary play time (worth $8!) next visit. There wont be a next visit. Very disappointing.

I have never take my dog but I asked for a quote on boarding I'd pay 38 dollars per day for them to let him go out to a full enclosed backyard without any socialisation, without any walk time or play time, while they clean his bedroom, so basically they'll only check he's alive and full of food. The premium service is actually the basic needs cover for the premium one I'd pay 68 dollars a day for him to get well look after! For him to get a proper walk, socialisation and keep up with his toilet training (going out to do pee when he needs to) I will have to pay 68 dollars per day! Don't get your dog in a place where he won't be well look after!
I mentioned my concerns to the staff and she said he won't be alone obviously there will be more miserable dogs neglected

You pay for a premium service but when you don't get that service, you know you so t be going back.
My dog came home without the bath that he was supposed to have (so I had to give him one asap when we got home), which makes you wonder if my dog got all the extra attention that I also paid extra $$$ for, twice a day.
When I called to discuss, I was fobbed off with excuses and lies. I was also offered a complimentary dog wash on my next visit! The wash is supposed to be complimentary on every visit, so I wasn't being offered anything I shouldn't have expected anyway.
I cannot recommend this kennel, they have lost my trust completely.
If you decide to leave your dog there, check out the kennels. A piece of vet bed material on a board is the bedding. Nothing cosy or comfortable about this place.

Our dogs always come home happy. I just wish they washed them before collection. Not with dry shampoo either, a proper bath.

I was very hesitant to board my dog in any kennel, but researched and found that West Coast Pet Care Centre had ok reviews. On collecting my dog after 10 days stay, she appeared to be stressed and hardly noticed us and just wanted to get out of the door. On arriving home, she was limping slightly so I checked her paw and it had been bleeding and red raw. She was very down and nearly communitive. I rang the office and they said she may have been 'fence fighting' - I gather that this means that she may have not been happy with her neighbours? I was of course very hesitant to leave her in a caged atmosphere and should have known better. I took her to the park yesterday and she was aggressive to a dog over at the park - she was perfectly ok at the park prior to her stay at West Coast. On reflection, I would have thought that if this was happening, things could have been moved around to stop the distress. After being home and having 4 days of good sleep she was still a worry and in a lethargic state, I took her to the Vet and she checked out ok. She is only just today seemingly on the mend and more lively. I would not leave her again at any Kennel and I will try and find someone that dog sits at home, I think it will be far less stressful for the dog and me.

I first came here for puppy training classes and decided straight away that I would use their boarding facilities. My lovely labradoodle has been boarding here quite regularly for a couple of years now and he gets excited when we arrive every time. He is always happy and healthy when I collect him too. The grounds are lovely and spacious and all the staff are friendly and seem highly skilled. I really wouldn't consider taking my dog anywhere else in spite of the long distance I have to travel to get here, it's worth my peace of mind.

These guys looked after my dog for a week, and were faithful with all his complicated medications. The area they had for him was spacious, sunny and pleasant. My dog got some playtime with the other dogs, and the staff are very loving to the dogs they look after. I would definitely recommend this place.

We have left our fur babies and older fur kids at this home away from home over many years and for varying periods of time. Always assured that they were in the best of care, so that every time we needed our precious ones to feel safe and cared for we could confidently leave them at this facility with little to no qualms. It helped us to relax and enjoy our absence from them.
