Very central to Port Douglas. The staff are very friendly and there are two pools on site. The beds are pretty average and the bins (that are kept under reception near the front entrance) smell something shocking. So walking in or out on hot days is pretty unappealing.

Great accommodation rooms are clean and have all you need. They are nicely decorated and the bed is soft and extremely comfortable.
Staff are all friendly, made us feel welcome and were happy to answer any questions.
If ever we visited this area again we would not hesitate to stay here.

Loved it. We stayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bed apartment. It was spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen and both bathrooms had been updated and were very well appointed. The outside heated pools and the surrounding patios are small but we found them adequate. It was nice to share the use of the barbeques. The location on the main road through Port Douglas was brilliant with superb access to the shops bars and restaurants. A five minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the mariner. Would definitely stay here again. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice people at the desk, pretty place outside pools looked lovely. Relaxed atmosphere, location is great, right in the middle of vibrant town, such a happy place to be. Only complaint was I thought I was getting a pool view room which was a bit bigger to fit a rollaway bed, we got one of the older rooms which needs the bathroom redone, most of all room to fit my son's bed, we could only fit him in the hallway near the front door, so my husband had to sleep in it instead.

Worst experience ever, staff were completely uncompromising. Following cyclone Debbie, my travel arrangements needed to change. Staff said there was nothing they could do, and the room and money would be forfeit.

Location was excellent - right in the heart of the main strip in Port Douglas. Two nice pools, helpful staff, decent rooms. We were in the one bed villa, but the door to the bedroom was just sliding door w slats - not what we were expecting.

Stayed 5-6 October 2016.
Staff: Villa San Michele reception staff was top notch - very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating during our stay!
Location: Excellent; is within walking distance to anything on the main drag and to a local shuttle stop to get you anywhere else!
Rooms/Noise: Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our apartment faced a bar/restaurant across the street, so we did tend to hear noise late at night. However, not all rooms would have that same experience.
Amenities: Very nice. Laundry on site (free, but bring your own laundry soap), 2 pools, free wifi. Rooms had a mini fridge, couch/living area, and balcony among other things. Reception desk is only open during business hours, so evening thru early morning, the staff was only accessible via an emergency number.

This Hotel in literally right in the middle of Macrossan St, however hardly heard any traffic noise at all! Awesome location that you can walk to everything you need from cafes to pubs, friendly staff and 2 awesome pools. Highly recommended for first timers to Port Douglas!
