My wife and I stayed here for five nights and really I can't find fault with our apartment. We were on the third floor and from our balcony we could look out over the pool of the apartment below us. As there was no one below us the whole time it was like the pool was part of our unit.
I don't know that I would like the apartment with the pool. No privacy at all if your in the pool.
The check in was fast and courteous and you can park your car in a secure underground are that you need a remote to open.
The apartment was well laid out, and of a decent quality with everything you need to enjoy your stay. I have read complaints about people not having fresh towels often enough. It's self contained, this means you look after it yourself. If you want towels daily then put your sign out, or get off your arse and wash them yourself.
If you want to be waited on hand and foot, this is not the place for you. You need a hotel.
We thought it was great. There is no interaction with staff unless you want there to be.
Sure. You might find the bed not to your liking. Or the furnishings not what you would buy , but they are built to suit the requirements of the average person. They can't be individually furnished every time there is a guest change.
If little things like this bother you. Then you should just stay at home because you are obviously one of those people that sees everything thats wrong, instead of everything that is right.
The location is also good, at the bottom of marcrossan street. In walking distance to pretty much every thing. There is even a really good restaurant right below you.
All in all, I would highly recomend coconut grove, if you want a quality stay in a qaulity apartment.
Not sure about the privet pool ones though. Go for the one above, enjoy the view at night when the lights light up the palm trees and use the resort pool at the rear.response / report this review -

We loved our stay at coconut grove. Nikki was extremely helpful, nothing was too hard and she was always happy to help. Maintenance and room cleaners were also friendly. The apartments are conveniently located on the main street in Port Douglas in between Four Mile Beach and all the shops and dining. The apartments themselves are clean, modern and spacious. We can't wait to return to Port Douglas and we would love to stay at coconut grove again.

Great location, great accommodation with a private Jacuzzi and a foosball table in your room! L'Occitaine toiletries, free wifi and cheese in the fridge on arrival what more do you need? Just hurts your wallet a bit.

Absolutely fantastic. Right in the town, short walk from any necessities. The apartments are beautiful, modern and well designed. My only regret is that we aren't staying for a little longer!
