  Frank and the chaps from Timberland floors were amazing. Great value for money, they did a fabulous job! A fairly challenging ask, to patch an existing floor where walls had been knocked down, kitchen benches moved using a non standard size wood. You can’t tell that the floor has been patched / extended at all, and you can’t tell the old from the new.

  BEWARE! We ordered our floor 3 years ago. There were problems with supply during COVID, and we were very patient throughout that time. Then the workmen turned up with the wrong type of woodagain, we were patient and rescheduled. 1 year later nothing has happened: we called every month and the answer was always the same: waiting to find the right wood. Other suppliers that we approcached had no trouble sourcing the right materials. Finally we cancelled the job and asked for a refund of the downpayment: it never happened. Every time we call or email they say they will do it ASAP, but months later we are still waiting.

  CUSTOMER BEWARE! Everything is good with these guys until you have a problem. We engaged Timberland Flooring many years ago for our residential apartment and they did a wonderful job. We decided to engage them again for our retail premises and this is when we discovered that their after care was ZERO. They laid the flooring without any proper prep work and within months the flooring started to peak and shift. We contacted Timberland Flooring and Matt and the team completely ignored our emails and phone calls. After months of persisting, Matt finally came to our store and said it wasn’t an issue with his laying rather blaming the product. We have since had a site inspection and a full report from our product supplier who said that the floor wasn’t correctly prepped for laying and they didn’t leave enough separation gaps to allow movement. We have since implored them to rectify this problem to which Matt again completely ignored phone calls and emails and nothing was done. We have since taken them to VCAT and Matt did not even have the decency to turn up. We were awarded damages in which again we have been completely ignored. To anyone reading this, there are so many other companies that take pride in their work both prior to and after completion. The fact that Timberland Flooring take no ownership for their faults shows that you’ll be dealing with dishonest tradesmen. Clearly a pattern if you read a number of the reviews here and on word of mouth! Shop elsewhere and save yourself the headache.
