An unexpected 3-star meal with wine pairing presented by the corners in the Australian Outback. The chef n his partner running the front of the house were top notch, as were the owner of the property and his wife. We had a great time, with great food, and conversation. An A++++ night. If you are in the Flinders range this is a must go place!

Sat at table and was given the menus,only 7 meals on the menu????.for a well known country eating spot the range of food was not on the menu,no beef or kangaroo burgers,no chicken burger or drumsticks/breasts or schnitzel.I ordered the cheesy pizza for starters and lamb cutlets for mains.WOW,just wow.the pizza pieces did not have any taste,there was minimal cheese and a outside border of 40mm around that had nothing.VERY BLAND.Then the 2 small lamb cutlets came out,they where hot,1 was cooked well the other medium rare,no sauces on the plate,no salt and pepper on table for the hand size pile of salad that took up more than half of the plate.The cutlet had some flavour but nothing to delicious as they should be.
Very disappointing, could have got a more filling and satisfying meal if i ordered a mcdonalds happy meal.will not go there again.had to give 1 star but WAY below that rating.response / report this review -

My fiancé and I booked into the Woolshed expecting some amazing foods for the price. Boy were we mistaken. The chicken with corn purée was average with very little taste. And it took me a little while to find the purée. And the “Hand made chips” yeah right! I’m a grand parent and know a frozen chip when I see one!!!! We returned the half cold product to the kitchen because of the poor quality and lack of flavour. Any body that eats out knows the 7 things on a menu done well (which is all they offered) is better than 20 poor quality choices. My fiancé chose the lamb and ONCE AGAIN very average. For $75 for 2 mains, some “garlic/cheese pizza” 1 beer and an orange juice isn’t bad IF the quality is there. Sadly this wasn’t the case!! Overall POOR food, average service but the drinks were cold. Atmosphere was lovely though.

Had dinner there three nights in May 2019. Each night, the chef went to some effort to make me a delicious vegan dinner, including wonderful and creative desserts. After longs days of bushwalking in the Flinders Ranges, I enjoyed every bite!

Great restaurant to sample the local lamb farmed at the station. The lamb tasting platter was delicious, if a bit on the meaty side!

Quite happy with the Woodshed restaurant. Amazing scenery while eating delicious food. The food is nice and has always friendly service. Worth the drive to check it out!

We arrived but discovered that unfortunately they were understaffed an overbooked. No problem after discussion with the manager we decided to come the next night instead. We understood the limitations of public holidays along with limited eating places and great driving distances for fresh produce deliveries.
Fantastic friendly service and food. Very friendly and accommodating. The Kangaroo and Shanks were a great example of honest outback flavoursome food in a authentic rustic environment with anazing views.response / report this review -

I have visited the restaurant several times over the last 4 years while camping in the Flinders Ranges. It has usually been a positive experience with good food and service in a terrific setting. Unfortunately my most recent visit with a large group was very disappointing. I'm guessing there was some crisis in the kitchen with the chef leaving prematurely. Food came in a timely manner for the two children in the group but then 90 minutes elapsed before the adult meals started trickling in. Many of the meat dishes were not well heated and unfortunately three in my group never received a meal despite promises from the waiter that they would be arriving shortly. It became clear as the night progressed that we weren't the only ones in the restaurant experiencing significant delays regarding our meals. In the end we left with three of our group unfed and wary about ever returning. However to the credit of the restaurant manager who was very apologetic we were not required to pay for our meals
