Spacious layout, plenty activities and entertainment. Staff could be a tad more friendly and welcoming. Many dining options reasonably priced. Has live music lounge but could use better music within gaming room.

Stayed here earlier in the year. Cairns is a beautiful place and this hotel does justice to the place. Location is great, close to the wharf to get to great barrier reef. Breakfast is plentiful, rooms well appointed and great size. Will stay again

W had a great time at the casino and new hotel changes look fantastic, I would have like have had more drink choices from the min bar and fridge to drink. There was no fruit juice to drink from the fridge. Also you got rid of the bath bombs in the presidential suite. You should have replaced with some bubble bath product would have been nice. Overall we enjoyed staying at your hotel. I think the presidential suite was fantastic.

Lovely big room. Really comfortable bed & pillows. Bathroom luxurious with thick soft towels. Having a separate room for the toilet was great. The complimentary mini bar was much appreciated. Had a meal in the Chinese restaurant, the food was very tasty. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices in the buffet and being able to also order from a menu was unusual but very welcome. Altogether a happy experience. Can't wait to come back again.

I had a fabulous stay and would thoroughly (and have been) recommend every part of my experience. Everything was easy and so completely relaxing. Loved the pool area especially as a great spot in the sun to relax and read. It was a little noisy with the building pumps but hey, it's hard to find the perfect world! Absolutely loved my corner room and it's layout. Stunning views and sunrise/set scenes over the water and onto the hills. Love to come back!

Our first impressions were positive. We were given a very friendly and warm reception. Our room was large and, in the main, very clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of complimentary beverages on offer.
When we started to unpack our luggage we notice there was very limited drawer space available. The room could well do with a tallboy. Also there were only four coat hangers, which is ridiculous for a couple staying for 6 nights, as was our case. However, this was rectified when I contacted housekeeping, who delivered six more coat hangers, thank you.
The bed was very comfortable with a good range of firm and soft pillows at our disposal. The Bathroom was large with a good range of complimentary accessories. Overall our accommodation was very good.
I like to exercise each day, and my selection of a Hotel is very dependent on a good fitness centre. I was a little disappointed in the equipment on offer. The room needs an additional multi station and perhaps a ab machine.
The sauna was not on so we couldn't use it. Also, on a number of occasions young children were playing around on the equipment, which was both annoying and a safety issue. Suitable signs need to be place in the room prohibiting children under the age of 14 using the fitness centre.
The pool was good and well maintained.
Each morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast at the Tamarind Restaurant. We also dined there on our first night, and were treated to a great meal. Special mention to one of the waiters, Ali. He was very friendly and most obliging. In fact all staff we had dealings with during our stay were wonderful thank you.response / report this review -

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the welcoming email received prior to our stay, followed by a friendly and warm welcome at check in, to the thoughtful addition of complimentary drinks. The facilities were excellent - the pool area was fabulous. Really enjoyed the breakfasts at Tamarind restaurant.
This China Cafe restaurant was not good - food was cold and not very appealing.
The Casino and Bar 36 were great.

How good is this little casino! You can wear thongs in there and it has a great little vibe going on. The hotel is great to stay in as well. Short stroll to town. The Junior Suite is amazing!

The new bar is quite nice and it's great to have live music around. I also enjoyed the sports bar. More seating would be nice.

The service and attention to detail the staff have at this hotel, is fantastic.
Andrea from reception was tremendously professional and knew all the right things to say, and followed up on every promise she made. She is a great example of the hotels overall service.response / report this review
