I really enjoy going to this local Cinema. Great new theatres have been developed in this Cinema, some very cosy. Great seating & viewing throughout. Good place to meet for eats & a cuppa before or after. Helpful staff & a wonderful range of movies. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful old cinema with plenty of charm but still showing all the contemporary films. Good sized cinemas and often not so busy which is a plus. Plenty of snack food options and seating in the cafe. Recently renovated but keeping its art nouveau roots.

So good we became members on the first night. If you haven't been before, go see it. Very old world, and the cinemas are cozy, and seats superb. Plenty of head clearance so you'll see the screen.

The projection was washed out. The blacks were more like grey. Small screen. Isle lighting way too bright and distracting. Totally ruined my much anticipated Blade Runner 2049 experience. Bring back real projectors, not this washed out LCD garbage. Oh and 25 minutes of ads is excessive. I will not come back again.

Great relaxed venue. Need some more staff checking tickets so people sit in their correct seats but highly recommend after the renovations

We went to a daytime session in a tiny, three-row cinema. I have to say, it was totally comfortable. The seats had nice cup holders and little tables, and we were encouraged to bring in food and drinks from the cafe (and a nice range of treats were for sale, including lovely shareable cheese boards). The ladies room is pretty too.

I am a great fan of Palace Cinemas and enjoyed the film but one thing that seems not up to your usual high standards in all things is this idea of combined selling of tickets and snacks/drinks. I had 3 other waiting customers comment to whilst I also waited in the crush. It does seem to be unworkable and inconvenient. Perhaps you could review and improve this one aspect of an otherwise pleasant outing to Palace North Balwyn. Thank you for asking for my feedback.

a few problems post renovation: two theatres had signs up asking patrons to stay out while cleaning was in process, cleaning had been forgotten however and in one cinema the film started before it was cleaned, and in the other it was delayed while someone cleaned it (upon request). The film scheduled for 9.30pm, started at almost 10.00pm, which made a longer night than necessary.

We love this place! Lovely large & cozy theatres and the refurbished coffee shop gives. Nice ambience of the nostalgic and the modern era.

Small screens, good location, pleasant ambience, comfortable. For your big budget high action films consider investing the extra money and effort going to see it on a bigger screen, for everything else The Palace Balwyn Cinema is way more chilled and also less costly.

It's easy to imagine time gone by here. A local cinema with small theatres and a large theatre. Convenient and great service. Try a slice of pannetone!

Very poor cinema. Tough to park. Though I bought tickets online the line to pick it up when arrived took 20 minutes. In cinema 8 the lights that let you see the stairs are very bright and affect viewing. Pretty poor experience for the price
