Great atmosphere and live that they tie in with the hotel for meals if you like. Went in the retreat and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
A totally relaxing experience where we were treated to the retreat package. We relaxed in the mineral spa that was set to 32 degrees on a sunny, but cold Victorian day, made new friends and plunged in the invigorating ice cold plunge spa. We then enjoyed a fantastic massage that melted our stress away and finished off our experience with a decadent spa lunch. We left feeling like celebrities. Thank you for an enjoyable experience - Daniela Pollard
My experience at the Mineral Springs Spa was very disappointing
I had a $500 voucher, so I booked a $310 package of lunch, massage and facial. When I booked I said to the person on the phone that I would use the balance of $190 on my next visit, nothing was mentioned that that wasn't an option ! Unfortunately I hadn't read the very small print on the Voucher, because as I was about to leave my afternoon of pampering, I was told that I had to use all of the $500 on the one visit !!
So, I had to quickly purchase very over priced goods from the retail section, that I didn't really need, to use up the $190, or lose it !
Just as a secondary niggle, I was offered a tea or coffee after my meal, not realising that I was going to be charged extra !
They certainly won't ever catch me again !
Lovely staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
The private bathing is underwhelming. Its just a large bath in a room. The Tasmanian peat mud bath involves the addition of what must be an indiscernible volume of "tasmanian peat mud" as the water was still very clear.
Was still a pleasant experience, but for 125 dollars/30 minutes I would only advise if you have never seen or been in a bath before.
Soft pack beds were amazing
Awesome place can't wait to go back
Extremely overpriced. Underwhelming and disappointing. Purchased facial 'float' and hydrotherapy baths for wife's birthday. Facial was half a facial but priced as a luxury facial, compared to other spas outside of Daylesford. Hydrotherapy bath was cold, short and didn't work at times. Very disappointed. Try the lake house spa if you can, so much better
Over $600 scalpers pricing a night because of the gay festival but so fail in key areas. The decor was gorgeous, very comfy but close your eyes and in the front room it was like being in a cheap motel on the main hwy it was so noisywe could barely sleep. The main reason for staying here was super disappointing - the 'natural' spa was so strongly chlorinated it left my nose and throat raw. Even the saunas smelt of chlorine. There was no time to just relax and enjoy the other parts of the facility in the hour booking so it felt rushed not relaxed! My sensible husband stayed in the room and used the bath. The spa at Coolum much much better and free with room!
