With so many other great cafés and bars in the Kingston café strip you won't be missing much if you give The Kennedy Room a miss. The décor feels more like a casino or hotel bar, but if you are looking for a quick drink it will serve you well.

The Kennedy Room is the premier bar and dining venue in the inner south of Canberra. All of the negative reviews below are from people who have reviewed Figaro Restaurant and have given it 5 stars. Funny how Figaro is a few doors up on Kennedy Street! It is sad to see how people will stoop so low as to leave untrue and vindictive reviews on their competitor. We tried it for ourselves and were very impressed.

I'd have to say that Linda is right. Local crowds tend to stay away and for good reason.
There is a bit of a pill-popping scene there also, which keeps a lot of respectable people from being interested.
The odour of the place by itself is enough to put me off my drinks, all the rest just confirms to give it a miss.

This is disappointing. Just a grotty little pub that isn't run well and most of the locals have already learnt to steer clear of it. The hype is wearing this and the staff and menus need a good look taken at them.
