A true gem of Canberra. A relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere. Perfect for a drink with friends, a celebration or a casual meal.

A unique atmosphere with friendly staff. Unfortunately the beans for the coffee were over roasted and had a charred taste. Obviously no reflection on the place, but they need to check their suppliers.

Sometimes this place has amazing food and friendly staff, sometimes this place has ordinarily food and very surly staff. I can never pick which will occur ahead of time so I usually avoid going here. It is a Canberra institution though so quite a few people invite me to eat here. It's a nice atmosphere tho as the interior is great.

Great lunch. Nice music. Always a pleasant vibe. Plenty of dry out door tables on this wet day.
Staff always neat, tidy and pleasant.
Furnishings are getting a tiny bit scuffed but in the gloomy ambience you hardly notice 😊

Friendly staff and quick service. Coffee was pretty good but breakfast was pricey. Tasty baked beans but hollandaise and undercooked and slightly slimy bacon were a bit of a letdown. The place also desperately needs a facelift.

Overpriced and kinda average food. No table service on coffee which I find very odd and irritating during busy times. Ok cafe but could definitely do with some improvements

Tilleys is pretty good really. good cakes and food. Only real criticism is, like many places around town, the coffees are often disappointing. It's not too hard to warm cups and use a thermometer when doing milk.

I always enjoy my visits to Tilley's! It's a classic space, great for meetings or getting some work done. Their booths are great to pull up your laptop and write or read. The cakes are always worth a try! Quality food around the $20 mark. There are cheaper options if you are only looking for something small.

It's a Canberra institution. Quirky, cozy setting. Great coffee, and spicy lunches.

Cosy and laid back with a lovely ambience. A great selection of food from an often changing menu with a decent "specials" offering weekly. Fully licensed with an excellent tap beer selection.

One of Canberra's greatest institutions. Good coffee, pretty good food, unique ambience, and you can sit here all day without being bugged by wait staff. Counter staff can sometimes seem to radiate a bit of a man-hating vibe. Or maybe that's only my imagination, but the last time I was here the girl who served me wouldn't even look at me. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

Regardless of the attitude some staff may or may not have, I highly recommend visiting Tilley's at least once for tourists and locals alike. It is essential Canberra.
