The facilities are first class. The hotel is relatively new and well appointed. Friendly staff made my stay a great one!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room of a good standard, though nothing pops out as 'wow'. Location is the biggest negative, as it's located in the middle of an industrial area. Other than that, cannot fault Gateway Inn.

Excellent friendly service. Rooms well appointed clean and warm. Excellent restaurant upstairs provides delicious evening meals and breakfast.

Best hotel in Newcastle hands down. 5 star service and amazing clean rooms. The restaurant is divine, free parking and a cheap mini bar. Oh and the beds are so comfy!

UPDATE now 4 Weeks since promised contact for resolution.
Really not happy and would not suggest to stay here at all :(
Had issues with boom gate and exit damaging many cars including mine.
Reported and promised contact and none made still weeks later. Still waiting. Phone and email address were given to manager and reception staff too.
WARNING!!!
#1 Advertised spa rooms only have a normal size and shape bathtub and not really a spa as expected.
#2 Special prices given to group wedding guests is the same as the online prices with no discount at all as promised. Deceitful indeed.
Limited parking for rooms so will have to park elsewhere and not onsite at times.
Check in process longest ever experienced world-wide.
Yep was not at all impressed and wouldn't contemplate staying at this location ever again.
Location in the middle of nowhere.
Without a car would be stranded.
With a car expect to be damaged with no care.
Room was clean.
But the air-conditioning struggled and was noisy all night.
While fan up and temperature down made no difference with no windows to open was stuffy and hot.response / report this review -

The staff member charged me the full price instead of just a $200.00 holding bond. We had a clear discussion as I wanted to pay from a different account. Staff got quite assertive when they couldn't clearly explain their own privacy policy and why guests need to show ID. Won't stay again.
