Lunch today our first was a great experience from the moment we entered this welcoming friendly restaurant with a real sense of family. The staff are amazing the Maitre d or the guy who greeted us and went out of his way to fit us in to what was a heavily booked day. The pizzas are fantastic. We love love love it and will make sure we book ahead when next in Melbourne. Full marks from us!!

I was there yesterday for lunch. The service was good. The lady who served us at our table (114 outside) is really nice. She always has her smile on and straight to help us with polite manner. I would like rate her 9/10. Good service and I’m happy to come back.

Pretty disappointed in the service and its not improving! Just one of the many experiences we have had. Sitting outside on a 28° day. Was told to put the bottle of water back that i grabbed for my two girlfriends and myself after we had walked for an hour around the river. Rather than getting up every few minutes to refill our tiny glasses i thought this would be easier. But no. Just rudly told to put it back?

Good location with a playground next to tbe restaurant. Decent food but quality can be mixed -undercooked pizza topping/base once Good staff though. Nice views of river and open deck in good weather. Wood fire oven in winter.

Quite a nice setting by the river. Shame the value for money doesn’t match up. Decent range of beer and cider but $10 for a bottle of local. They have this weird policy about not being allowed water jugs on the tables outside, seriously?

Popped in for breakfast. Busy place, but prompt and speedy service. Food was quick to come out and my coffee was nice. Not overly bitter for a long black which was good.

Some of the best food I have tasted. I would however recommend going on a weekday than the weekends. Staff are even more friendlier and the service is better.

Foods very poor, watching Gary critique food on Masterchef certainly doesn't marry with the outcome of his food at his restaurant - disappointing. George's food fabulous

Ok it is Easter Monday and there are a lot of people but .. have not been asked about another drink and waiting for our lunch we have been here since 12.30. The lunch better be good. Wrong pizza cold and doughy then got questioned when I sent it back

This place could easily be a 5 star rating kind of restaurant with the beautiful setting on the river. The prices suggest this place is a top notch restaurant but you have to order your food at a bar, bring your own drinks to your table and collect your own cutlery/condements. Similarly while the food is presented nicely, it lacks flavour. Hope it improves as this place has great potential!

We used to come here regularly in the past, but the service seems to have gone down drastically! The food (avocado & eggs) was good, but the service was poor, if not absent. That you have to pay at the bar is one thing, but there was no structure in it and the queue went right through the restaurant, causing people to having to pass through the line all the time. None of the staff members directed the queue into a more orderly line and along the bar.
The food took ages to arrive and when it did, we were told to get our own cutlery at the bar. Mind you, the prices don't reflect this 'self-service' type restaurant. My partner wasn't finished eating yet, when they already wanted to take his plate. Not long after we told them he was still eating, another staff member came and took away his plate, tipping the plate full of breadcrumbs into his lap, said a short oh sorry and walked off, leaving us in disbelief of what just happened.
To end this positively: great setting and food was good to okay.response / report this review -

Nice location, close to the park which is nice for the kids. Some seats have a nice view of the river (others have a view of the carpark).
Food was prompt and tasty, although it was a little burned.
Pay-at-order and self serve cutlery/water etc gives it a pub feel.
Staff were friendly, if not exceptionally efficient or sophisticated.
Pricing was high for the quality of the food, level of training of the staff, and atmosphere of the establishment, but otherwise an enjoyable experience.response / report this review
