Good food. Pleasant surroundings. Our favourite place for lunch even if we have to drive for an hour to get there.

On our way to Rosebud today We stopped at the Dromana Hotel for lunch
It was awful, the service was dreadful we waited an hour for our first course, then they brought out our soup & Mains at the same time. & the foodwell over cooked veg, cold potato’s yuk
Leek & potato soup with no flavour & tasted fatty.
    Never again 🤭🤮

I was unaware that they had accommodation on top of the hotel. We previously tried to book but had no luck as no rooms available. We were a little better organised this time and booked a room. Staff were very accommodating and would stay again based on the easy location.

Disappointing steak and outdated venue. Appreciate it was the lunch special($19 steak) but would rather have a portion of a good piece of steak than a piece that was half fat and gristle. The salad was dried out and didn’t look the best. Chips were nice.
As for the no smoking during food service in the outdoor area there is a plastic cafe blind seperating the outdoor smoking area from the non smoking that is completely open at the top so the stench of cigarettes fills the area. Waste of time to be honest.
As for the building It could do to be freshened up from the outside in.

The staff were very helpful in helping to decide what was gluten free. Where it was possible that tried to customise the food. This made my wife very happy. Nice to see some customer service still exist!

Good Italian restaurant in good location. Reasonable price. Service good. Wait not too long. Good portions. Clean tables and cutleries. Good family restaurant.

A place that very much has a chilled out vibe. A lot of that has to do with the staff that made us feel like locals. It was only our first visit!!!! You don't often get that friendliness. But it made the meal very enjoyable. Thank - you very much!

One of the cheaper options for accommodation in Dromana. Massive room for the $$$ you're paying. Value for money but no compromise on the location which is a plus.

Nice family friendly pub. We liked that their was a much cheaper kids menu. Food was better than expected for a pub. Ask the staff about the room with video games. It was a good distraction for the kids.

Went here for an 85th birthday party. Stuck in a room without air conditioning. Found a hair in the fish; no apology, expected to keep eating it. Found a cockroach on the dessert plate, no apology. We were told they were too busy with another table to serve us our desserts, had to wait 40 minutes. If you want terrible service, inedible food and a sauna like experience feel free to waste your time and money here. No zeros an option. No negatives an option. Here's what it actually deserves: -5.
    You've been warned.

When I'm on the road and I have work on the peninsula I stay at this hotel all the time. Close to the restaurants. Basic accommodation but does the job. Meals served downstairs are generally pretty good.

We came on a busy summer day and was worried we couldn't find a park. Luckily it has easy access out the back so we could avoid the beach crowd. We had fabulous lunch in the bistro before heading down to Portsea.
