Great location and beautiful views. The retreat is just the perfect place to sit,relax and enjoy. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. No request too difficult. A must visit.

The house is not just accommodation, it is a home that invites you to relax and enjoy the comforts Ian and Rob have provided with so much care and attention to detail.

Every piece of furniture selected to both decorate and provide relaxing comfort. Every piece tells a story and adds to the welcoming feel of the home and its owners. There are many shared living spaces indoors and outdoors, allowing you to indulge in the peace and tranquility of the ocean breeze with a glass of wine.

Entertain yourself watching one of the many movies or TV shows from the comfort of your bed, on one of the large screen televisions whilst lounging on a leather sofa or for the ultimate luxurious entertainment experience the privacy of the in house cinema.

I’m a light sleeper and appreciated being able to reduce light and noise in my room as well as the very comfortable bed. Do as little or as much as you want during your stay. The retreat is nearby tourist towns and attractions and yet situated so you benefit from both the ocean views and the quiet location.

Treat yourself to a mini vacation with Ian, Rob and Mickey the pup at Starhaven - you won’t regret it. And if you have a chance to taste Ian’s wonderful food, don’t miss the opportunity!! The cooked breakfast is a MUST.

Outstanding Gentlemen. 4 Perfect days for my wife and I to be looked after in a truly magnificent place. Our hosts Ian and Robert made us feel at home from the start. Great food, location and conversation were all part of our relaxing time there. Make sure you book an in house massage. We are already planning our next visit to our home away from home.thank you for your graciousness and hospitality..friends now

From the time that you arrive and being greeted at the door by Mickey the lovable dog you are taken on a complete hospitality experience by Ian and Rob, their dedication and devotion to being the perfect hosts is simply outstanding, they supply quality accomodation with attention to detail, we enjoyed their sumptuous breakfast and company each morning. They display fabulous knowledge of the Bellarine area and will certainly put you on the right path whether its food recommendations or wineries to visit. My wife and I were made to feel at home during our stay. Highly recommend their accommodation.

Incredible 5 star experience and stay! Iain and Robb were fabulous hosts with great local tips and knowledge of the region. Highly recommend. Spa, breakfast, cinema and personal service were highlights our only regretwe didn't stay long enough!! Will definitely be back .

My Husband stayed at the Starhaven Retreat on the Queens Birthday weekend. Ian and Rob made us feel welcome from the time we arrived, the property had everything on offer from the spa pool, to the theatre room, to comfortable bedding and a yummy breakfast each day! We would highly recommend a stay at the Retreat.

We have had the pleasure of staying at Starhaven Retreat a number of times, it is our go to accommodation for a stay on the Bellarine Peninsula. Ian and Robert are the most impeccable hosts, within a luxurious environment that rivals most 5 star hotels. From the gourmet breakfasts, to the picnic baskets and the drinks on the beautiful balcony overlooking Port Phillip Bay, it is truely a beautiful, relaxing and stunning place to stay.

Best Service I've been given in a Retreat ever!!!

My review is base on the many times I have travel to Surf Coast & Bellarine Peninsula.

I had an appointment in Queenscliff, did not want to overnight there, had stay before & was not that impress. I decided to find a better place even if that means 10min travel.

Starhaven Retreat in Indented Head is stunning. Only meters from the beach. Stunning views, kilometers of path for running, walking or cycling.
Starhaven design, colour scheme, the layout, all is perfect! It has a luxurious feel throughout every corner. The place is spotless clean. Attention to detail in every room.

My room was large than most 5* hotels, the bed was amazingly comfortable; big LED TV, free WIFI, & movies galore, fluffy bathrobe that fits, coffee, teas, minibar, all included. Had also a large balcony were you could seat and relax.

The bathroom with heated floor, features were sophisticated & high quality china, towels were luxurious & felt great on the skin. Found everything I needed in that bathroom, shampoo, shower gel, hair-dryer, etc.

In between an amazing cooked breakfast, plus toast, jam, fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, etc. And an excellent dinner, I enjoy myself in the endless pool with a relaxing spa; although there was also a sauna, I did not use this time.

After dinner I enjoy watching in the private Gold Class Cinema “Hotel Budapest” must say the private Gold Class Cinema is second to none.

SERVICE!!! - The hosts were both warm & accommodating from the moment I arrived. Very professional yet friendly & welcoming, they have strive to make me feel comfortable & well looked after. They really went above & beyond what I have come to expect.

Conclusion - I had a great stay full of laughter & joy and really made some memories that will last me forever. I decided to make Starhaven my default stay when I visit Surf Coast-Bellarine Peninsula.

Hope this review will help someone else looking for excellent service & an amazing place to stay.
