Not too many staff for a weeknight, but the food was well presented and in decent quantity. I thought the cut of the meat, given the price, could have been bit better, the parma looked good, and so did my mothers steak salad dish. The fish an chips looked like mostly batter but as apparently still tasty enough. Above all, a bit of refinement and maybe some better choice of the meat/fish provided and it would be on par for its price point.

We sat in the public bar for some beers and dinner. The young lady behind the bar was lovely, very approachable and happy to have a conversation. The food was well priced, large servings for the price and was beautiful. All 6 family members ate everything and were very satisfied. Surroundings were fine, clean and no problem. It was a cold night so the outside heaters on would've been a nice touch for the smokers but all in all, an enjoyable place for a casual catch up.

I rang to book accommodation and was told there were three rooms left. 2 minutes later after pullin over we walked to go book in, only to be greeted by a very angry woman who shouted what do you want from behind a door. We asked if we could book some rooms and she again yelled back with a ridiculous tone of voice "no rooms"
Worst service I've ever encountered. The rooms look disgraceful from the outside. I imagine they're not much different on the inside.

I have been staying here a bit due to the proximity to a training course i have been undertaking in the area. The room is a room, the bed is a bed, etc, etc. I like the breakfast packages. My last visit was 14th of Feb and I was having a pint of beer watching the footy and i mentioned to the bar lady that the beer tasted off. She then started to treat me like an idiot and began to take the piss out of me. Ok, whatever, i sit down and drink the rest of my crappy tasting beer and i notice she is still taking the piss out of me with what appeared to be another customer. No kidding, thats just poor form. Even if you think i am speaking crap. After all, what does the customer know? Anyway, here i am, about to travel for another three night stay at your competitors this time. I wont be returning and i hope others read my review, including her boss.

A great night out with family. The staff here were fantastic, even though they were greatly understaffed on a public holiday. Meals were excellent, and just a little bigger than needed, so the greedy people at the table got to eat the leftover chips and onion rings!
Paul was especially good in ensuring our night was fun and everyone at our table (and lots of other tables) was treated like a VIP.response / report this review
