Very reasonable prices. A good friendly non pretentious local ----- OK take note i wrote this 7 months ago..EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED. Not a friendly cheap local any more. The pool table gone dogs not allowed my son's fave kid's spaghetti changed to cheap fettuccini with no Bolognese. A sad state of affairs

Good specials nights. Helpful and professional staff. Better for us when not too busy with non eaters. Good crowd either way though and a good option for locals.

How many things can you do wrong to a business - the title of the new book being made by the new owners of the good old Parkview. Take over a business, scare away all of your loyal locals with new full price everything and give them as little service as possible, take away pool tables and anything fun, force all of your 'pub' customers to sit outside in the cold while there are 3 tables empty inside not being used, install crappy heaters and paint everything grey, basically turn a good busy pub into a sad empty pub. But the highest achievement of all, put a $12 parma back on the menu (still $2 more then the previous version during the golden years) and remove the salad? What the. I know right, all my Parma friends out there, lovers of the parma, basically everyone, how bonkers do you have to be to sell a parma with just the chicken and chips and remove the teeny tiny $20c salad. Well this new crazy. This has gone from my favourtie pub, one of the best pubs in Melbourne which enjoyed a strong loyal following, specials that people traveled for, and a rising trade over the past few years to possibly one of the shittiest pubs in Melbourne. So sad. And now there are less and less customers sitting at the pub as a result. I hope you read this, and know that before your time there were amazing bar staff who built this business on great customer service, cheap beer $5 Parkview pints (still advertised on your website), $10 parmas that were on every table, relaxed smoking rules, nice security, chook lotto Friday's and a members card among other things that made this pub special. Now it has none of those Love your locals, don't turn them away.

The staff are nice here, however its pretty much a total dive that is propped up by pokies.

Boooooooo! definitely has gone down hill the last month or so with the new owners and changes to smoking laws. Used to be a great pub to sit with a dog and a beer outside in the undercover/heated area and watch footy and chat to the other locals, now they no longer allow dogs or smoking in the undercover section as it's only for people eating and taken away the outside TV. Why not just keep food service inside and leave outside as it was? Your food is overpriced, poor quality pub food anyway and it shows in how many people have been coming lately. You've isolated the hundreds of locals who'd come to sit outside with a beer and Instead of thinking about how to make the place better to keep the locals coming, you just jacked up the prices to cover the loss, pushing us working class further away.

Changed hands recently, now incredibly not dog friendly, or helpful. Service is difficult and restrictive with no options for those wanting to eat outside with their dog. Changed what used to be a great friendly pub we went to with our dog often to somewhere we would never set foot in again. Very disappointing. Used to be a great local pub now unfriendly, obstructive and a poor addition to a great neighbourhood.

Heaps of cheap beer on tap and draws a decent crowd of interesting characters. Nothing special though.

Good price, great location, great value on food as well. Cheapest in the area and still decent vibe.

Though the decking has a great atmosphere, my partner and I really enjoyed the home-like feel of inside where we could eat a terrific meal - at almost half the price of most places! - while we watched the footy on TV. What a way to spend a Sunday arvo. Very comfortable environ and yummy food. Highly recommend the breads and the chips. Yum. Will be going back for sure.
