I was not the client of this firm, yet in a letter to me they accused me of making the statement "of them overcharging"! I’ve offered to apologise on provision of evidence, no evidence provided (because I never made such a statement)!

Interestingly, I have a copy of video that was on their website, it states within “… lie to your children …”. They took the video off their website after I brought it to their attention, appears they do not have a problem with providing counsel to their clients to lie. It's appalling a law firm can give counsel of this nature.

When considering legal counsel, one might want to “cast their net wider”.

(RESPONSE: Thank you for your reply, but as you know I was more frustrated with O’Sullivan & Davies discourse, in my opinion dragging out clearcut matters for some 2½ years.

The VERY NEXT day after O’Sullivan & Davies had dropped out of the picture, my ex partner and I resolved all outstanding matters in a little over 3 hours with the help of a 3rd party!)

I felt that the other party who was the Applicant, dictated unreasonable terms of negotiation over the course of my family court matter. OSD appears to have missed or misunderstood crucial evidence and information. OSD overlooked or was unable to get disclosure of key facts. OSD advice was contrary to forensic accountant and commercial law firm. From my experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending OSD. OSD has blamed me for an outcome where I was able to negotiate a settlement they couldn't. In the end, OSD could not secure any agreement they recommended I take (including one signed in court and handed to the OP almost 10 months prior to my ceasing working with them). I then had to self represent in my matter when funds I was borrowing were exhausted. OSD blamed their lack of outcome on my ex and his family as they were difficult and my matter was complex - which I believe are common reasons people end up in family court. It was when dealing with my matter, I realized the substantial flaws in my family court case. OSD takes no responsibility for the poor quality of their work. The experience is expensive and the advice i received was unsatisfactory. I am left with substantial debt, including owing a small amount of money to OSD for defending myself against my ex. They took me to small claims for a few thousand dollars owing without resolving any issues, choosing to have one of the firms partners gaslight me instead To date, none of the serious issues raised have been satisfactorily addressed and as such I have chosen to share my experience with this review. Again, OSD attacks me instead of addressing my concerns. I did refer a friend who also ceased working with this firm for similar reasons.

The business is structured with several levels of administration and legal assistance which reduces costs significantly.
With Andrew Davies as my primary lawyer and Bethany Moller as associate, providing me with mature and considered advice during this stressful time, a very desirable outcome was achieved.

I wrote and posted this review several years ago. I am not sure why google shows this as posted only 5 months ago. In any event, I stand by my review. Money grubbing, unethical lawyers who achieved nothing after taking thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars. They do not listen to their clients or particularly care about results for their clients. They further game a process that is already designed to extract money from family court litigants when they are at their most vulnerable and most likely to simply "pay up" out of anger, fear, etc. Walk away from this firm.

I can highly recommend O’Sullivan Davies, and Nicola J in particular. Family law can be stressful and overwhelming, but Nicola guided me expertly through the process to a very positive result. At first I was a bit concerned that a tier one law firm might be quite expensive, however it was the exact opposite, with Nicola’s expertise resolving this matter far more quickly than someone with lesser ability would have. This was demonstrated with an impressive and complete demolition of the opposition in Court. It was satisfying to say the least. If ever I need legal services again, I won’t go anywhere else.
