Been to this hotel for couple of time when visiting Canberra. Right at the center of CBD and everything is within walking distance. Love the receptionist and always feel welcomed. Valet parking at the lower ground floor and the attendance always make sure that your car is ready when you need it. Only thing that I will like to see is that the carpet at certain floor be changed to a newer carpet and some of the room needs some upgrade. Love the gym facilities.

Located near the central business area of Canberra, the Novotel here provides clean rooms, a good bar (if you're wanting to stay in), huge buffet breakfast, an accessible gym, and easy access to transport to take you to the popular tourist attractions. Staff are very helpful in meeting reasonable requests.
Tip: Parking is available for cars at $20 per day. The best advice to offer is to leave the parking to the valets, lest you risk taking on the narrow path and even more narrow parking spots.

Good location directly opposite the Civic centre. One of the better Novotels I have stayed at. Clean room, basic in decor but well laid out. Great facilities with a good gym, spa and pool. Breakfast was good, lots of choice and parking at reduced rate of $20 for night.

Great room and breakfast was good. Staff all very pleasant. Sitting by the pool after having spa and great swim. Lovely and relaxed. So close to everything.

Our stay was pleasant, the staff at check-in were friendly and polite. Went to happy hour and the bar staff were not very friendly. A smile doesn't go astray and a welcome how can I help would have been nice. The room was clean. would have been nice to be on a higher level and not have a few of the bus depot below and buildings.

Friendly staff and excellent in room services. Most rooms have connecting doors, so please ensure yours is locked before you go to bed. Ours wasn't, and the friendly staff managed to get it done. Over all I would definitely stay here if I'm visiting Canberra again. Great location and lovely atmosphere.

The room was comfortable, the kitchen dining area is uninviting, very bare.
Our dining experience was disappointing the young man 'barman' showed us to our table was charming however the host was not. She kept looking at her watch and we unanimously agreed we were made to feel uncomfortable and an inconvenience. Service was rushed and we felt that she needed to leave on time. My sister& husband were staying in the hotel as well.
    Breakfast the food was terrible!

We stayed at the Novotel since we are part of the Le Club. Tuesday was the only night we could stay and we were charged $361.00 for this. In our opinion, the Novotel is not worth this amount. If we could have made it on a Friday then we would have only paid $172.00. (Obviously, the sitting of Parliament decides on what price they charge).
The hotel is conveniently placed. In our opinion the quality of the hotel does not justify the price.
Usually, toothbrushes, razors, etc. are available in quality hotel, but, not in this one.
Maybe we paid extra since we had a wonderful view of the bus station out of our window?

We will definitely find another hotel when we next visit Canberra.

Home Away From Home experience. Our annual family stay at the Novotel is as always a PLEASURABLE stay.
Facilities indoor pool location & attractions are a prime requisite for our daughter's Athletics competition annually but the Hotels main asset is in its personal service all round in my opinion.
Check-In staff were terrific, professional and laid the foundations for a comforting stay, as was Bar & Restaurant service team who looked after our needs.
Dinner was brilliant and Breakfast was good consumed in a new & relaxed atmosphere.
Finally would like to thank Jasmine for her professionalism and brilliant customer service regarding my un-expected reservation modification requirements with charm & charisma. Her personal care to our family needs were delivered with a smile and a "no problem " concept. "Good staff are hard to find" as my friend in the restaurant business for over 30 years tells me.
    Appreciated and Thank you.
    Home Away From Home .

Hotels in Canberra tend to be fairly expensive (as compared with Sydney or Melbourne). Whilst the hotel had a good location, it was obviously in need of a new carpet - the carpet was quite stained both in reception foyer and on our level (Level 3) as well as in our room. Only two pillows with pillow cases were provided on the bed, one each for my husband and myself. The breakfast which was included in the cost of the room was fairly chaotic - no plates available, we had to wait. No cold meats available (as in charcuterie). Not a very attractive display. My feeling was that the hotel lacked a good manager or supervisor. Small details could be fixed to make it more attractive to patrons. Whilst I am a fan of Novotel, I would not go back to this one.

First time - Stay was excellent. Staff across the board were really friendly. The parking staff have their job cut out with tight parking but their help was greatly appreciated.
Lunch & dinner menu had light and small portions which suited us perfectly. Fish & chips needed something for $26 but Excellent menu options.

The room was spacious and quiet. I would request this room in the future. The dinner was satisfying and wait staff were excellent except they did make an error. We gave our free drink voucher but they didn't log this on the computer. Hotel staff though did trust us and listened. A most enjoyable, relaxing stay. So convenient too to shops and all locations in Canberra. We found that it didn't cost us more than $50 in a taxi to anywhere we needed to visit. Will definitely return.

One of the things that I usually look forward when staying in a hotel is the breakfast. Food should not only be delicious but also lots of variants considering you eat everyday in the hotel. Unfortunately, the food was only good on the first day. Having the same food course every breakfast means nothing to look forward to. Could you imagine yourself staying in you own home eating the same breakfast choices everyday? would you like that?
Upon check in, the two front desk personnel were kinda rude in answering us. We know that sometimes, late check in do happen but its also expected for personnel to answer politely or even just listen to clients when they are impatient due to delays. They should consider that travelling long hours takes a toll on clients and hotel personnel must be accommodating as much as possible. Even putting on smile will do the trick. Unfortunately, not a single smile was given. You can even check on your CCTV. Thank you.

The room was nice but the housekeeping was a bit haphazard - a couple of times the cups were not cleaned and teabags replaced. It was almost as if the person doing the work did a very quick look around and did not pay attention to detail.

I found the breakfast and room service dinner I had to be unappealing and not good quality, and very expensive for what I got. Fortunately there were a number of good cafes and restaurants nearby.

It is not a cheap hotel so I expected better. I have had better experiences at other Novotel hotels in the past
