Last year, I went here and the cabins looked like what the inside of a prison cell would look and the food didn't taste fresh. If the place got a upgrade and some renovation I would probably come back. Also the place needs some WiFi and more TV channels. The good thing is that it is not a bad location. But needs some upgrades. Also the beds had blood and mold on them. I've seen cheaper hotels in Canberra which range into the 4-5 star category.

Sadly, this is the first of four nights and if I could afford it I would be gone now! It’s 2230 and I booked in around 1600. I flew in from a regional area today and was pretty stuffed so I took a lay down. I was dozing only to see young school children climbing the wall next to my window taking a short cut to Maccas. Granted I spoke to reception who was lovely and she apologised. I was put in a room on the ground floor because of the steps and a school bus of boys felt like they were trampling elephants. That’s okay they are quiet now, BUT there must be a pub next to my room and that is all I get for a lullaby.
While I appreciate the ground floor I feel the person who booked me in over the phone could have been honest and explain what you have to deal with. It’s Friday night so God only knows what Saturday night will bring. No, not a place I would recommend.

Rooms have been updated not too long ago. Is a motor inn and not a 5 star hotel so you get basic amenities with nothing fancy. Looks like a great spot for families or schools to stay at a good price close to all the attractions. Pool looks nice. Check out the Reptile Center while here!

We had our wedding reception at the Gold Creek tourist resort and we were so pleased with our decision . The venue was decorated meticulously and exactly how i wanted. The food was delicious and the servings were generous. Everyone from the functions manager to the receptionists and everyone else were so friendly and accomodating. They all tried their level best to make sure we have a stressfree wedding. I recommend anyone looking for a function venue to consider gold creek tourist resort.

Very over priced for very basic. No hot water bed had no speings so felt like I slept on a board. Heater clicked so had to turn it off and in the middle of winter was not pleasant. Advertising as a resort is an over kill no children's playground unless you count the plastic toddler climbing thing in the middle of the pool yard. Bbq area also in pool grounds. No explanation on where the communial kitchen was located. Apart from these things there was no noise and it was well located.

    Not Be So Harsh
We stayed at Gold Creek Tourist Resort for 2 days and really enjoyed it
We had dinner in-house on the 1st night and struck gold with their Friday night steak & schnitzel night fantastic meal & service, absolute value for money.
They had a function room all set, wow it look amazing in whites & baby pinks.
Breakfast both day was delivered hot and fresh with a good variety to choose from.
Some of the accommodation was getting a little old and ready for a over haul, but the rooms were clean and comfortable including a beautiful hot shower each day. The heating struggled a little at night with the temperature dropping below zero. The Motel is located in Gold Creek Village. Reasonable Prices were charged. I would stay again and recommend anyone looking forclean, friendly & budget
