Value for money. Extremely convenient location. No parking facilities. Would suggest using the secure parking on Goulburn street instead of the one that Westend has partnered with.
Haha dont go here if u dont have a passport and they might still charge you if you book online and don't stay
I was there last year and I would never ever go there again
It is a Party hostel wich is nice for getting To know new people
But it's no fun when everything ist so dirty. Unfortunately we had booked for 12 days in advance. We had a bathroom (mold all over), and no window in a 6 mixed bedroom with no space for bags (and mold all over The walls). Cockroaches were everywhere.
Also you should know that the bedsheets don't get washed. We thought we didnt See right but when You leave they just fold the blanket and Leave it for the Next Person.
There are so many nice hostels in the city. Take a few more dollars and make your stay enjoyable!
This place is a dead set dive! I wouldn't let my dog sleep in this place mate! Any schmuck with enough money to buy a few rooms can open a fleabag joint these days, i swear! Dodge it for your own sake people!
Everyday will clean public area
Good price at location
The location is central so very convenient, there's also quite a friendly vibe in the hostel, however the place needs a good clean. I didn't see anybody cleaning the hallways or rooms, more windows and air con that works would make it more comfortable, stay for a good time not a long time!
Rooms where fine and the Hostel is very central. Was great location to stay for the Mardi Gras. 7/11 shop just next door and really friendly staff.
People in the lobby are very slow (35min for the check-in), the price is correct, it is well located but it is really dirty. Like no one took a vacuum cleaner since middle ages in this backpacker. The walls are dirty, Windows aren't even transparents, we found cockroaches in the room and a lot of dust. Beds are alright, mastress are 20yo. There's no chair, no dressing room or stuff, no wifi in the rooms and the bathroom I won't talk about that. Come here if you have not a lot of money and no other choice
To be honest, if you only want a place to sleep, this "might" be for you otherwise please look somewhere else.
Lift is broken for a long time and hasn't been fixed yet. Waiting time is forever. Room is old and the air con is broken. Even the hallway is cooler than my room. I already notified the management about the issue first thing, but they didn't give a damn. Goodluck when you try to sleep while its 35 outside.
Place is filled with young and drunk kids. They party every freaking night. They even give announcement about the party on the PA system of the building at 12 midnight.
The room smells bad for me. I stayed in the mixed dorm, my roommate walked around naked even tho my partner was there. The ensuite toilet might even cleaner than our room.
Staffs are unprofessional except the manager, his name is John if i am not mistaken. Very helpful.
This is just an advice so the management should take more care about this place. I try YHA Sydney Brisbane and Cairns, the quality i way better than here.
Right now I recommend you to try YHA, if you wanted a place where you actually want to come back to sleep every night.
Tried hard not to give it one star There were lots of bugs, like mini cockroaches. I slept with my mosquito net both nights I had booked since at any one time I could see at least 5 bugs on the walls and mattresses.
Also the free Internet is only available in the lobby, which isn't very comfortable at all, nor have electrical plugs. They do have Internet for purchases which is accessible in all rooms.
My room only had two electrical plugs, one in the bathroom and one near one of the beds.
The positives: central location, shared kitchen, shower curtain and a door on the shared bathroom, and cheap.
