Unfortunately the tours were at the end of the season by the time we discovered this jewel. They offer unique experiences of the night sky (stars, nebulas, planets) through a powerful telescope after a fairy short trip. The owner took us through the tours and are definitely planning to do this next season. These type of tours are understated and really offer a unique experience.

What an awesome experience. It began when we headed out to a property in the Ozzie bush near Mareeba following instructions to drive slowly so as not to hurt wildlife. We were led to a gorgeous lake which glimmered silver under a jeweled heaven. We were each given little torches which spread a red light so as not to impair our night vision. The party of ten beautiful people ( a tour like this only attracts those enquiring of beauty and expansion) enjoyed an evening meal, then the magic begun. We viewed stars, nebulas, planets through a powerful telescope, we listened in wonder to scientific findings (in lay language)and indigenous beliefs. Often I simply soaked up the tranquility of the evening listening to the orchestra of night life in the lake and surrounding countryside.
