I am a regular at Nicks Seafood. I usually get the $180 seafood platter for 2 with my husband. It's the one that also comes with lobster. Never disappointed. Everything on the platter is cooked perfectly. The staff are pretty good. One slight annoyance not worth losing a star over is they didn't bring a glass for my son who is 5 but did so for the 4 others at the table- is my son not a person? Lol. Other than that have never have had a bad experience. I know I will get good food here.

We ordered lobaster meat pasta, cold seafood platter and the fillet steak and grilled prawns. The food was way below the standard for the price. The pasta was greasy and bland with no taste. The steak had no flavour, I could get better steak at a local pub. The grilled prawns were good.

The service was not too bad but the staff are inexpereinced. The waitress hit my head with the plates. Also the cashier ask me the table number when I try to pay, when I said i don't know she ask me to go check.

Do not be fooled with the location and the pricey menu.

    Went for lunch.
Amazed at how many waiters are on, yet don’t understand the concept of approaching a table even when you have your hand raised.
Meals were less than average. Batter on our fish was soggy and undercooked yet fish was dry and over cooked?
Don’t even get me started on the cocktail my partner ordered
Waiter helped us finish our wonderful experience by dropping a knife on my partners lap and then taking 15 minutes to bring the bill to the table.
I understand the atmospheric, busy, trendy yet slightly tacky feeling of the restaurant.
But I’ve had better fish and chips at my local pub which is ran by derolicts.

good location, everything else is pretty average. funny thing is that We ordered more than enough, and asked for take away. they threw our seafood and kept the chips. The reason from them is crabs are decoration. (Chips are main food, and seafood are just decoration!?).

Tonight I went to Nicks seafood. My reservation was at 7 but I finally got my meal just after 8. I understand they were busy but I’d appreciate them informing me what is the current status. They are just lucky I had a big lunch. Other than that the view was lovley.

I can safely say this rates as the most disappointing and unpleasant dining experiences I've had in my life.
I ordered the seafood chowder and a side salad and my partner had the tuna. Firstly the chowder tasted disgusting and was extremely watery with hardly any seafood. A can of Campbell's soup would have tasted better. The soup was accompanied by 2 slices of bread that looked like they came from the budget aisle of your local supermarket. As for the salad, it was a few lettuce leaves and bits of tomato thrown together.
My partner's grilled tuna was disappointingly tiny with lacked seasoning.
This restaurant doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating.
I'd recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

services and view are good, food pretty normal. We had the $180 seafood platters for 2, kangaroo fillet and seafood risotto. The seafood platters have lobster, prawn, crabs and the other things would have in a seafood platters. The portion is quite small in such price. And I would strongly suggest to have this in fish market, which is way more fresher and tastier.

I am a habitual offender, I have been coming here for years and am rarely unhappy when I have finished mu meal, they seem to employ young staff ( backpackers?? ) who may not have English as a first language but have always been keen and helpful. The food must be good - or I wouldn't keep coming back! Tonight I had the lobster and snapper pie, it was filling, tasty and a pleasant change from salmon, ***** 《 5 stars

Great food, amazing location and excellent staff. David our waiter looked after us wonderfully on Saturday night despite it being quite busy. He provided some good suggestions on wine and menu choices. Only possible drawback was the close in seating but it didn't bother us too much.

We have been to going to Nick's for over 10 years, however last night was a big disappointment. It all started wrong when the seating hostess tried giving us a table that was shoved in a corner under a set of stairs. There were quite a few tables that were available however as they had menus on them, we were told they those tables were reserved for guests that had made their reservation before we did. We then asked for another table in a better location as she offered us a table in the "open area". It looked like an eatery and we definitely didn't plan on spending a lovely night out at beautiful restaurant only to feel like we were eating in a Westfield. Customer service was not a priority for the seating hostess we were unfortunately allocated, or she had better things to do on a Saturday night. Full of attitude she reluctantly offered us another table that was better than the two offered previously. Throughout the night though, whenever she walked past us, she would give both my husband and I dirties. Just a very bitter woman that is definitely in the wrong industry. And most of the tables that had menus on them were still empty 2 hours after we were seated and had our meal. Food was delicious however very slow. We were waiting quite a bit for our seafood platter. We cancelled our second round of drinks as they took over 20 minutes and by that time we had finished eating. Overall a disappointing night out at one of our favourite restaurants.

This is the perfect Sydney seafood experience for those with a big budget. Despite the cost it was great value and a wonderful experience, take the Special Platter for a full lobster.

Great location with harbor view. Have separate bar and restaurant. Average food quality and service. Price is okay. It's designed and managed in a way of targeting customers who are tourists.

TERRIBLE ! STAY AWAY !! Despite reservation we were forced to wait 40 minutes before we could even get into this supposedly up-market restaurant. Service slow and inept, food portions were small, salad was served in a teacup sized bowl, and the so called seafood platter barely fed one person. Overpriced rubbish. Waiters flat out because of understaffing to save money. I've had better seafood at my local pub. Yes the view is nice but in future we will get takeaway seafood and sit on the wharf and look at the water and laugh at those morons paying good money at that lousy restaurant.
