Extremely happy with the service from staff and quality of the room. Parking was brilliant, the bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Would have loved mini bar options.

The only positives are the room size, which is quite large, and the location, the neighborhood is very quaint and close to cafes. Everything else is pretty bad: there is no physical lock on the door, like a chain or anything, just the hand lock; the nightstands have two legs and just lean against the wall, they fell on us when we moved them to access the plug, they were screwed in to drywall that has long since broken (so there are literally holes in the walls); everything feels cheap, but the price we paid was no where near cheap. Find a better deal and better quality elsewhere.

Very disappointing!

After checking into the apartment we noticed there were a lot of ants on the work surfaces, in the fridge and in the draws in the kitchen. To make matters worse there were ants in the bathroom. My friend even found an ant in his bed!

As we had arrived late and needed to get to bed due to having a meeting in the morning there was not the time to alert the night staff member so we decided to get some sleep. When getting into the bed I noticed a number of disgusting stains on the bed linen. With little choice, we had to sleep in the apartment and the beds.

To add insult to injury we were then woken up at 7 am by the radio of the team working on the building.

Overall we were very disappointed with our stay and having been recommended the metropole by a friend we feel let down by the whole experience.

Fantastic location and the spa room was very spacious. The outdoor pool was clean, although not heated so would be best to stay in the warmer months if wanting to swim. The staff were friendly and helpful. The outside is getting repainted and is looking much better.
