Fantastic. Had their chicken and chips some time ago but this time had fish and chips and I can honestly say their hot chips are the best I have ever had. The chicken and fish were great also..

The line out the door is always a good sign! The best charcoal chicken in town by far and the tastiest Snack Packs to boot. It's been too long since I last visited but never disappoints.

@NewcastleLive 's reader poll voted @mw_kebabs_charcoalchicken the best chips in town. I dropped by for half a charcoal chicken and chips. The chips with chicken salt were fantastic - crunchy, right amount of salt and so delicious.

As for the chicken, wow! Juicy, tender, succulent. Just the right amount of char, a lovely smoky flavour, touch of lemony goodness from their marinade, each bite was savoured. Awesome lunchtime meal.

Friendly staff, plenty on the menu which includes charcoal chicken, kebabs, hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and all the other goodies you see at a fish and chip shop including fish.

Only place I give 5 stars for a snack pack. Definitely the best. tbh, I'm not so big in the charcoal chicken, but their vast variety of other offerings are great.

Charcoal chicken is so tasty. We had a meal - whole chicken, reg chips and 1.25 drink. Easily fed the three of us. There are also a few fresh salads to choose from.

Great shop with everything from Burgers to Greek-Style Roast Chicken. Definitely come here if you live in the Mayfield area. Great Kebabs as well. 👌🏽👍🏽😏

Go the Kebab Snack Pack only thing - have the small for yourself or medium for sharing. The medium is way too big for one person! Chips covered in cheese, with kebab meat and choice of sauce for $9 small, $11 medium or $22 large.
Jimmy and the boys have the best kebabs and charcoal chicken in Newcastle.

My family has been visiting this Wonderful place starting 20 years ago. They still know us all by name even when weren't able to go there for a few of those 20 years. Excellent food and Brilliant Service.
