Sorry to see Masters close down. Many products from their partner in the USA have been very good and the chance to have a 2nd major hardware chain of stores was also very good. Local store staff tried hard but it takes many years to obtain and keep good hardware people that know what they are taking about.
They don't even answer the phone. Ever!!! Goes straight to recorded message.
I called up to ask if they had timber for bed slats. The employee said, "I don't know and we're not allowed to give product information over the phone, you will have to come to the store".
That has to be the worst customer service / store policy I've ever heard of.
don't think they have trained there staff! - and it shows they are now closing down
I visited the store several times to clarify precisely what I wanted, spoke to 3 "specialists" and then ordered 2 x bi-fold doors (cost $4000+). These people were very helpful I might add.
I was asked to sign a document confirming what I had ordered.
What I got was not what I'd spent weeks clarifying with Masters' employees.
There was no issue fixing the problem provided that I paid; another $300+.
When I complained to the Manager, I was instead referred to the Assistant Manager; he told me it was my fault because I had "signed" for normal profiles, not what I had repeatedly specified to Masters' that I wanted.
I made other arrangements to rectify the issue and will continue to do so - Masters - you are a no go zone and I tell as many people about my experience as I can.
