Super friendly staff, great location and the pool was refreshing after the hot days, modern bathroom and very comfortable in general.

Its only 3 star and shows it. Too dear for what it is. Being refurbished but wont really help. Its very old and stuck in the 70s. Had lots better and very few worse. It is reasonably clean

Beautiful outlook, terrible bed! We had breakfast every morning, which was wonderful, and a dinner on Sunday night which was beautiful! Centrally located with only a couple hundred metres to the shopping centre and water.

The staff were excellent and the accommodation was great for the price , older style building BUT CLEAN as a whistle , very comfortable beds and ALL staff pleasant . the breakfast upstairs had a perfect view of the marina and the chef was super friendly and a delight to talk to. Food was great also thanks for a great overnight stay .It isnt a modern style resort so dont expect the Hilton BUT is very comfortable, shower was hot, towels clean and bedding clean, rooms clean I have worked in the motel industry and been a cleaner also within this area and I could not fault anything I would highly recommend staying here and ignore most negative comments

Step back in time to the 70s ! place is need if some much needed modernising of facilities. decor is very dated. Staff are friendly and accommodating. room was clean. Twin bedroom apparently means a single room with a double and 2 singles! so ring hotel to check exact roo. details when booking online. Had to request toaster and cereal bowls.

Stay here for Easter long weekend, the hotel is an old building which is fine, the carpets have iron burn marks , The beds are too soft and the linen is not good quality and left dirty . The pool is a nice size but has so cover for shade and the spa was broken , really expensive for such a bad place .

We had a delayed check in around 10 pm. Due to mobility disabled, we asked for a shower chair which the night shift reception eventually helped to place the chair into the shower space through the narrow sliding door entrance with frustration. We want to clarify with this impatient staff about the breakfast issue whilst on the phone communicating with our travel agent who confirmed that our booking should include breakfast however this night shift receptionist told us to pay for $15 for the breakfast when we checked in. This serving receptionist responded rudely "I had started my work at 7:30pm already and you guys are giving me a hard time at 10:30pm now. Don't ask me any questions now. This hotel is closing down tomorrow. Check with the reception counter tomorrow morning. I am not in a position to provide you with any further service. OMG, what kind of service is this? The worst experience for us in hotel stay in our life. Definitely won't come back strongly recommend DON'T BOOK MARINA RESORT AT NELSON BAY😤You'll regret if you do!
