I have been going to Luna Park since I could walk, and now I take my daughter. We went last night and had a fabulous time - the staff were lovely and everything was clean and looked amazing at night. My complaint is that the food on offer is really sub-par. The kids ended up with dried up pizza, my partner had a fishermans basket which he had to take back because the scallops were off (he was later sick), my fish and chips were dry and tasted awful. Why not get a food outlet here that matches how great the rest of Luna Park is? Parents like a place where they can sit and drink some decent wine (the wine on offer is pretty awful too) and enjoy a fresh and palatable meal. How hard can fish and chips be? This isn't 1984 anymore. Also my friend had Nachos and the cheese on top was packet grated cheese, not even melted. Gross. We have a gold pass and hope that the food situation changes soon so we don't need to bring our own food in the future. Otherwise, Luna Park, we love you!

Just an incredibly average place that is out of date and overpriced. The view is good and it's certainly historic, but the rides are a 'novelty' when you compare them to other more modern offerings. It unfortunately has the feeling of a carnival (in the carnies tacking your money kind of way). Take your photo out the front, it's the best part and it's free.

Luna Park is a great fun place for kids and adults alike with quite a few rides and fun activities to keep you engaged. There is no entry fee to the park, however, you'll need to buy tickets / wrist bands for the rides. It is situated right under the Harbour Bridge with a 5 min walk from the Milsons Point train station, and has some spectacular views of the harbour and the high rises on the other side of the harbour. You can also organise birthday parties here.

If you’re local, the annual pass will be the cheapest option. Fun for all age groups, we love spending the day here and great harbour views. Food a bit pricey.

lovely day. Fun, old school rides. Some good historical buildings and good to see they have retained some of the old world charm. Gripe would be with the poorly train staff at the Cafè. With English as a second language, they needed extra help/training as they were drowning with the simplest requests. Not their fault, management may need to be more diligent in getting them up to speed.

I went to Luna park yesterday and overall, it was a pretty good experience. Apart from the eerily creepy entrance and mascots, absence of the Big Dipper, slightly expensive jumpers ($49.95), and the time an employee let me stay on a ride for another go, and then got shut down by the fun police, (These are all very minor complaints and not a deal breaker, though.) I had a very enjoyable time and highly recommend the rides as they have terrifying ones for older guests, and nicer rides for younger kids. Choosing the location by the waterside was beautiful, especially when on high up rides. Excluding the fun police, the staff is nice and I give them respect for some of the customers they have to deal with (I really respect the workers on the joy cone). The food is quite nice, and I even got the chance to buy a Luna Park themed shot glass. So, if you want an entertaining day out, I would recommend here as a nice option.

The only place in the world where being swallowed by a giant clown is appealing! The kids will absolutely love it, and despite what thy think beforehand, so will the adults. It is very cheap compared with other theme/amusement parks and has everything young or old could hope to find in a wonderful day out. Take a harbour taxi across to start the days excitement and then spend the day inside the belly of a giant clown! Only in Sydney.. Enjoy!

Great fun, been multiple times and will keep on visiting. Good for friends and family for a fun day. Food options are quite overpriced but that is expected of a theme park. It has a fantastic waterfront location and the atmosphere is full of fun. All rides are super fun and full of adrenalin.

Kids love it..! This vibrantly lit park is actually a casual spot for exploring and not a must see things in Sydney. For people who are on tight schedule, it's very okay to skip it. Fun to visit it with a group of crazy friends.

$44 to ride the carousel with a 3yo.

Surprisingly, Luna Park does not appear to offer much to the younger family. It might be better suited to teenagers.

It's not really theme park, more of a circus, with a bit of "carney hustle" going onovercharge, under-deliver, "fooled you once, can I fool you twice?"

My 3yo wanted to ride the carousel. I let them upsell from $20 to $22, because it's only 2 bucks and the kid on the counter was pretty keen on the extra value which I didn't really understand, and they were nice to my daughter who sat on the counter.

Turns out it's $44 even if you want one ride because they need to charge the kid AND the adult. I got stopped by the attendant at the carousel whose "hands were tied" and refused entry to my 3yo. The ticket people were meant to sell me 2x $22 apparently.

I asked for my $22 back, but apparently they don't do refunds, even for a mistake that they made.

If they had just said look it's gonna be $44, I would have had to pay anyway because the daughter was pretty attached to to the carousel.

Bad experience, handled mostly not well, cannot recommend for kids under 5.

It's free to explore and that's good enough for me. You don't have to pay to go in. Who does that anymore. Take the ferry from circular quay to Luna park or walk on the Sydney harbor bridge from darling harbor. Or do both. It's great. I walked from darling harbor across on the harbor bridge to Luna park and took the ferry back to darling harbor via circular quay. It was amazing.

Not much theme park allows you to go in for free these days! Luna Park is one of the rare one! You only need to pay if you wanna to go on the rides. The rides are old, the place is small and the Ferris wheel doesn't go as high as you expected but doesn't matter. I will still come at least once a year as a Sydneysider who enjoy a bit of my old memory and appreciates the history of Sydney. An icon of our Sydney Harbour, please keep this park going!

Look, .. this is not an A grade theme Park, possibly not even B or C grade. Positioned under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this nostalgic park offers an afternoons fun with old school attractions. We caught the Ferry from Darling Harbour to Luna Park, then on to Circular Key under the Harbour Bridge.
Even though this is an old park with old style attractions, we had great fun, and the kids had more fun than they could ever imagine. The location combined with the experience is priceless.
Keep it up team, keep the park alive.
