For over a decade Tomorrow has been serving Sydneysider with exceptional modern Japanese quality food. Haunted by Sydney celebrities. The decor here is again quite inviting even after so many years. Not your cheapest Japanese though not the most expensive either , however quality of fresh seafood justifies it completely. If you have a group of 19 or more book private room with banquet menu. Highly recommended.

Great food and service even on a busy Saturday night. Buzzing atmosphere. Excellent wine list. Really fun night

Good food and cocktails. The drinks at the bar could have come a little bit quicker though.

Toko has got the combination of food, drink, service and atmosphere perfect.
We have enjoyed our time at Toko on a number of occasions and they have never, ever disappointed.
    Service is brilliant.
    Food is sublime.
    Atmosphere is perfect.
Do it, have a go, you’ll love it.

Mind you Toko does not take bookings for groups less than 10, but if you have to wait, it’s worth it

Delicious food and sake! Definitely try the Aubergine and the silken tofu. Great menu options for tapas style small dishes.

Arguably the best Japanese in Sydney? It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Love it.

Fantastic japanese dishes. Good service and selection of everything. A bit more on the pricey side. Great for a date night though

Overpriced Izakaya style food with slow service. We came for a quick dinner and drinks. We were lucky to get a table. The waitress visited our table shortly after we were seated, and therefore we haven't picked anything yet. It took them another 15 minutes to notice us again.
Ordered drinks and a lot of small bites. Got our drinks fast. Cocktails were fantastic, but $19 each.
Then we had to wait another half an hour for food and almost everything came at once. The sushi was excellent, but again a bit pricey. Yakitori was totally not worth the price - chicken was burned and tasteless. We've added some pork, which was average. Seasonal vegetable tempura was good, but we couldn't finish it - it was a bit oily.

Five people for a celebration dinner. The food was beautiful and very interesting but the service was appalling and it was so noisy it made conversation almost impossible. The waitress was very apologetic so I presume the service problem was in the kitchen. Two of us had the tasting menu and each item took an age to appear. For example, there was delay of almost 30 minutes between the penultimate dish and the miso soup. How could that take so long. To rub salt into the wound, the couple next to us also ordered the tasting menu and started an hour after we started and had their full order and left before us. We did not ask for the items to be delivered slowly. The ladies toilets were also in an awful state; no toilet paper and rubbish on the floors.

You try the assorted sushi plate which nearly beat the local joint in Osaka you frequented last Summer. You relax to a drink and to the sleek, but earthy ambience inside. You think to yourself and tell your friends after: this is a fine, upscale place.

My partner and I come to Toko occasionally as it used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Sydney until this visit. Our waitress was rude and forgot to place our order. We waited for 45mins. After we paid, we complained to the manager. He became defensive and asked if we want some desert or some drink. We didn't take the offer and were disappointed that they didn't apologize to us before we paid the bill and had to ask for the manager. We'll not return for another year at least. Hopefully, they will have new and better management who can hire the right staff and behave professionally.

Other than that the food was great, but you can get great food anywhere in Sydney that provide much better service.

Amazing tasting menu. Beautiful cocktails. Request a seat to the side if you prefer a more peaceful dining experience.
