I’ve stayed at Le Cher Du Monde multiple times and highly recommend these boutique apartments for accomodation in Port Douglas!
The location is ideal for anyone without a car, but also has plenty of off-street parking for those with their own vehicle.
The rooms themselves are extremely comfortable, clean and quiet: you wouldn’t believe you are on the doorstep to the main street of Port Douglas!
The poolside is immaculately kept (courtesy of the manager/owner Rob, whom we saw tending to it every morning) and though it’s a somewhat intimate setting I found it to be a refreshing change from the big name resorts and we never struggled for a free sun lounge despite being at full capacity!
Rob is a phenomenal manager. Genuine customer service can be hard to come by but for Rob it comes so naturally.
He has gone above and beyond in making each of my stays as comfortable as possible and shows a genuine interest in not only his guests needs but the guests themselves. As such I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on my next trip to Port Douglas!

Location is great, and Rob is a very friendly guy. The toilet is not perfectly isolated from the room though! Also remember this is a self catering place, so don't expect a made up bed every day.

Highly recommended place to stay if you plan to visit Port Douglas one day. Perfect location with beautiful, large and exceptional clean rooms. The owner, Rob, is extremely helpful and friendly. If you wonder where to book the tours, where to eat, what to do, dont hesitate to give Rob a call. My whole trip would not be that pleasant without his help. Thank you Rob so much and no doubt, we definitely stay with Le Cher Du Monde next time we come up again.

Returned this year for our 2nd stay, as per last year the room was great, it was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. You can not get a better location as is absolute dead centre of everything that you can do in Port Douglas and nothing is more than 5 minutes walk. But what makes Le Cher Du Monde is Robert the manager and the best host you could get. I have travelled around the world and stayed in a lot of places but you will never get a more friendly, personable and helpful host than Robert, he has fantastic local knowledge and will advise you as needed and is always up for a chat and a laugh. We have already booked to go back next year.

Great location in the heart of Port Douglas, with the marina and 4 mile beach accessible with a 5 min walk either way. Rooms are very comfortable and cosy, there's free underground parking and staff is great. Would definitely stay here again.

I wish I could give more stars!! Everything in our four days stay at Le Cher was perfect. The room was beautiful, with a nice balcony and a spa. But what makes this place so special is the hospitality provided by Rob and Leona. They make you feel like at home. I hope to go back some day!!

We stayed recently for four nights and loved the place. Great location for walking around town, the owners are friendly and very helpful with information about tours and things to see and do. Clean, modern and well maintained place, the web site photos and information are accurate. Happy to recommend.

Top destination, right in the heart of town and close to the Marina. Most helpful and friendly Management I have ever met. The rooms were fantastic, the bed SUPER comfortable and the vibe was fantastic. Rob gave great advice on where to eat, the tours to take etc, we were delighted every time. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer !! This is certainly the only place I would consider staying when next in Port Douglas :)

I have just stayed in a front room. A balcony overlooking the street which I liked. It is off season but heard no noise when doors were closed especially not the nightly shriek of the starlings. Jet turbo bath was a lovely feature.

We decided on impulse to take a weeks vacation a week ago and went to Le Cher Du Monde. We booked via Flight Centre and Rob from the hotel contacted us. All I can say is that he was absolutely
amazing, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. He booked the airport transfers for us, tours and any information we required he was right on the ball. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable, we could not fault it. It was only a five minute walk to the beach and located in the middle of the main street near all restaurants and shops. A jewel in the crown. Thank you once again. We will be back!
