Lorraine and Paul provide a professional and caring service. Our cats have always returned well cared for and content so that we feel more secure while away. We travel from Ocean Grove to use Lara Cattery because the standard of service is so much better than others we have used closer to home.

After using a number of catteries Lara Cattery came recommended by our vet. And it's no wonder! Lorraine and Paul have a wonderful facility and are experienced, friendly and care about the kitties in their care. We never had any concerns leaving our cat with them and always came home to find him happy sunning himself or snug in a blanket in his run. Thanks Lorraine & Paul for years of great service!

I'm very careful about where I leave my cat as she is quite timid and so finding Lara Cattery was a win for me. Lorraine and Paul clearly care about their 'guests' and they are very knowledgeable and communicative. The Cattery is extremely clean and well maintained and in the colder months the heated runs are a bonus. I never worry when I'm away as I know my girl will be well cared for. The Cattery is not even in my area but I'm happy to travel across town to ensure I get such great service and care for our precious family member.

We have been boarding our cats with Lara Cattery for many years because the standard of care is excellent. We feel completely confident about leaving our four legged family members in the care of Lorraine and Paul.
We choose Lara Cattery every time we go away because we know that our cats will be safe and that they will receive the best of care and attention however long we leave them in the care of Lorraine and Paul. By 'safe' I am referring not only to the secure enclosures but also to the very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Also, we appreciate the many ways in which Lorraine and Paul ensure that, from the moment we drop them off, our cats are not stressed by their 'holiday' arrangements.
We appreciate very much that every cat is special at Lara Cattery and individual needs are never a problem. When we had older cats (16+) this meant daily medication and special diets - Lorraine and Paul carefully followed whatever special instructions we provided. Another example of the level of care - one of our current cats - a tabby boy - dislikes car travel and does not enjoy the journey from Geelong to Lara. Paul and Lorraine always give him extra attention to help him settle.
In a nutshell, we have found Lara cattery to be the best home away from home for our cats - at a fair and reasonable price. We also get peace of mind which is priceless!

My cat Mac has been a guest at Lara cattery each year since we got him in 2009.
We go on regular overseas holidays sometimes up to 8 weeks at a time and we are more than happy to have Mac stay at the cattery under the care of Lorraine and Paul. Mac stays in an enclose with an outdoor run and thoroughly enjoys being able to sunbake on his outdoor chair!
Recently Mac was diagnosed with a tumour in his leg, 2 weeks before our overseas trip, Lorraine did not hesitate in confirming they could still look after Mac, despite the fact we were unsure what would happen whilst we were away.
Unfortunately Mac tumour tripled in size whilst we were away, Lorraine made contact with our parents to advise a trip to the vet was required as due to time zones we could not be contacted at the time.
Lorraine went out of her way to ensure Mac was taken care of, providing us regular updates and ensuring Mac was comfortable until we got home. Lorraine changed Mac dressing on his leg saving us additional vet bills, it's fantastic that she is a nurse, so she has experience with this.
We could not be happier with the service we receive from Lara Cattery.
Mac always comes home happy and content, they even gave him a groom before we picked him up.
I highly recommend Lara Cattery, it is the best place to leave your cat, they are in very capable hands!response / report this review -

Thank you Lorraine and Paul for taking such good care of Zac Cat each time he comes to you for a "holiday". For 6 years I arranged for people to come and stay in the house so Zac didn't have to go elsewhere. Clearly that couldn't go on for 18+ years. After visiting about 5 catteries on the Bellarine/Geelong area, I couldn't go past Lara Cattery. Zac came home after his first visit very relaxed and not distressed at all. He has since been back to you 4 times and jumps straight out his window in his own private suite and enjoys "the outdoors" in the safety of his own run. Or sits on his window sill and watches the world go bye. Knowing he is so content means a great deal to me - I can relax and enjoy my holiday, and look forward to seeing his happy face on my return. Thank you again for being such good babysitters. The complex is clean, the staff very friendly (they all obviously love what they are doing) and all cats and owners happy!! Meow meow, purr purr. My very timid cat had the deluxe single room with a private garden that didn't break the bank. She was well cared for despite her poor social skills and I was thrilled & relived when I received a video of her mingling with the very friendly and caring staff.

Our elderly cat has stayed here several times over the years and has always been very well cared for. He stays in the smaller of the 2 pen options but still has plenty of room to move around inside and out. The pens are all indoors with an outside run, always spotlessly clean with no unpleasant smells. A close eye is kept on his health, how much he eats and drinks and any special dietary needs taken care of. Our cat always appears to be quite settled and happy when we pick him up. I will continue to use Lara Cattery any time we need to board our cat as we have always been pleased with their service and care.

Absolutely the best place for your furry friends while you are away. The pick up and drop off service provides such a convenience, so I don't have to worry about dropping our baby off before going away.
The owners are very down to earth and show a genuine interest in animals. I would trust them 100 per cent in taking care of our baby girl.
We highly recommend Lara Cattery to anyone who needs an accommodation for their babies.
