Nice place to visit with family. Kids love it.
Buy your stuff 15 kms ahead like boots etc as it's 40% cheaper than the resort itself.
I wish if they can have good eating options.
You can drive by yourself and reach comfortably. As it's not much different to drive in the city except for traffic lol.

Awesome place. Short drive (relatively) from Melbourne. Great views and good fun for kids. The resort had free face painting and other activities for kids.

Mostly rebuilt now after the fires, but seems poorly laid out with bottle necks of people moving around the place. Toboggan runs need a lot more space for the volume of people it sees. More outdoor space is needed for picnic lunches, and snow play, etc. More short walking tracks needed so people don't venture onto the ski trail, better signage and staff required. For what you pay to get in it should be better organised. The ski school was great. But if you just want to experience snow a relatively short drive away from Melbourne, it's the place to go. Crazy busy on weekends during snow season, so try a weekday or get there early.

Great place to visit during snow. Tobogganing slops are awesome. Flying fox was one of the best activity. Snow gear rental is very pricey. No hand wash in the male rest rooms. a decent cafe with lot of vegan options.

This is my favourite ski field. Best place for tobogganing or hiking around in snow shoes. Being able to park at the top and have easy access to your car with great facilities and plenty of reasonably priced hire gear. A short drive from Melbourne and the easiest resort for enjoying with young children. Plenty for all ages to enjoy.

Fun day to be had by many. Picnic areas available for those who can't afford their pricey food. Click & collect option is brilliant. We were in and out with our gear in no time. Staff are super helpful and friendly. I recommend hiring the boots. Saw a few people slip and fall without them. Drive up is stunning.

Nice for a few hours out. Kids really enjoyed it. Worth getting there earlier in day to make most of the man made snow as turns more icy late in day.
Toboggan runs were great for snow first timers and kids loved building snowmen.

Almost nothing in cafe/restaurant for allergies so take lunch if you have any.

Annoyed that flying fox and tube ride cost extra.

Overall though it's well worth a visit a day.

Very friendly and helpful service people but DON'T be mistaken! There is NO lake here! food counter is opened out of winter season for small snacks and drinks.

Good walking in summer with great long views from the summit and mountain bikes are also allowed. In winter, expect to pay for your snow. There is no Lake by the way so don't expect anything but the ususl gum trees or even a view of one. It's named after a novelist. If you don't want to do the summit walks it would not really be worth coming up.

Nice summer's drive/ride through forest and winding roads. Very impressed to find the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Cafe offer so many vegetarian options, unlike eateries elsewhere where imagination and common sense is lacking! Activities observed included tube rides for the kids and quite a long flying fox ride for all ages.

Great place for a weekend getaway!!

Toboggan ride well worth for kids to spend whole day, best if you have snow gears. Option to hire toboggans and gears at rental location which is closer to the ride. The journey to mountain and back is awesome.
Well priced restaurant and cafes. Altogether a great experience. Less mobile connectivity in the area will add up more fun ;)
