Great experience buying my first DSLR. Unfortunately did not catch his name but was helped by a knowledgeable and patient man. I’m very happy with my Nikon 5600. Many thanks and will hopefully visit sometime in the future to purchase my next lens.

Love my JB has a great range of electronics and comparably priced products. Staff are generally helpful and willing to assist but won't hassle you as you browse.

I shopped at the Elizabeth st camera jbhifi shop and the person who served me clearly had no patience who was rude and abrupt. I wanted to find out more information and he gave short unhelpful responses. I also was trying to understand the costs of my purchase and he basically threw his scanner at me so I could outline of the costs. I left feeling like he had better things to did with his time than his job. There was a complete lack of service and care.

Rude and unprofessional staff. Did not offer student discount for Apple products which they need to. Went to another JB and got the discount with far friendlier staff.
Do yourself a favour and go to the JB on Bourke St instead.response / report this review -

The staff here at the JB Discount Camera store are friendly and they know their stuff about the gear they sell. I discussed what I was after, and the sales guy was able to steer me in the right direction, with no pressure to buy at all. You might not get the same level of knowledge as from one of the dedicated camera places, but if you have a rough idea what you're going for, the prices here can't be beaten.

Staff member didn't even sell me something as they didn't have it, just told me directly what I needed and the easiest way to manage that, in a friendly, welcoming and relaxed manner. Thanks you!

Out of all the Camera shops on Elizabeth st. I found JB HiFi the most helpful. I meet a very charming and delightful guy who actually cared genuinely about my needs he was super funny i couldn't stop laughing.
I ended up spending $3800 on a whole bunch of gear which he helped me to qualify my needs without any indication of pressure. Would i go back there? yes i Believe i have made a good contact for future Business.

Great shop, wide variety and more over friendly and helpful customer service. Recently purchased their dslr+lens+rf and been in love with it so far. Thank you Mauricio and guys for the service. I will be surely recommending to others!
